PORT ADELAIDE Next Generation Academy player Kai Pudney has won the 2018 McCallum-Tomkins Medal as the finest player in the SANFL Under 18s competition. Pudney, who is part of the club’s Multicultural and Indigenous Next Generation Academy because of his Japanese heritage, plays for Woodville-West Torrens. Originally from the Port District Football Club, Pudney was also a member of the South Australian Under 18 team which won the AFL National Championship.
In 2018, playing for the Eagles, he has played 11 games in the Under 18 Torrens Uni Cup, averaging more than 31 disposals. The 18-year-old – who measures in at 186cm and 78kg........

As I recently wrote about Bonner the desired athletic profile of an AFL footballer has changed over the last decade, from an 800m/1,500m runner to a 400m runner who has speedendurance rather than speed and endurance.
