I quite like how Ken Hinkley goes about it. Port's forward half's lost a tonne of horsepower through the breakdown of Charlie Dixon & injury to SPP. Hinkley was a successful coach in the GFL having coached Bell Park to a premiership in 2003, despite Bell Park being a financially poor club compared to the likes of St Mary's, St Joseph's and Leopold.

In a league without a salary cap, Bell Park have always struggled to attract players due to not being able to offer them as much as what the rich clubs can.
It's why the 2003 GFL premiership is so revered, and it's what led to us hiring Hinkley to be Mark Thompson's senior assistant in 2004.
