Round 17, Sunday, June 26, 4:10 PM
Possible Teams (22 TBA Friday):
Key Matchups:
A hard matchup for whoever gets him. Surjan, Stewart, or Lower (likely) needs to stay with him and not let him get loose, as if you give him any shots at goal... HE WILL KICK IT. A big reason why their often criticized forward line has been functioning so well.
Another player who has been in great form. Brogan patched him up in the rucks, and Carlile did a pretty good job on him in defense in the previous showdown. Hopefully they can do the same thing again, and neglate his influence.
Tredrea has been quieter lately, but still contributes with a few goals and goal assists. He torched Rutten for 3 goals and 18 disposals (when the ball actually went to him) last showdown making him look like a hack. Probably won't have the same output this time around, as the Crows defense has improved heaps, but hopefully he can still have a good game.
Last Meeting - Round 6, 2009:
105-79, solid win.
Dean Brogan won the showdown medal dominating in the rucks claiming 27 hitouts. Kane Cornes had 37 touches, whilst Tredrea, Motlop, and Gray kicked 3 goals.
Port won the clearances 42-22.
Bernie Vince was the Crows best player with 29 disposals, and Nathan Bock had 26 disposals, playing off CHB, whilst being constantly booed.
Porplyzia lead the Crows in goals with 3.
Among Port's best players were: Dean Brogan, Chad Cornes, Salopek, and Motlop.
Among the Crows' best players were: Bernie Vince, Nathan Bock, Scott Thompson, and Patrick Dangerfield.
Port Adelaide (8-8):
