Round 21 1987 was when I became a Cats fan.
Went to first live game of VFL as it was then at the SCG as part of a Primary school footy carnival sat in the old Doug Walters stand looking into the sun for the first quarter but ended up down near the Geelong cheer squad they let us know who was who and was hooked from then on,
Good game of footy as well Swans lead for the first three quarters but the Cats got up in the end by 9 points I think, Paul Couch kicked 5 and Gavin Excell had a blinder.

Article 4.1 of the Bay 13 constitution states...

"A users join date always corresponds with the month they started following their listed team".

<<<<< When I was born, which is clearly in October 2006, Hawks were shit and finished 11th on the ladder.

Join date 07.

Checking in yo
Maybe you should have checked where it says FEB 07, you whilst they were still in a 44 year drought and before the season commenced. I don't expect a Richmond supporter to be able to manage to read the fine print correctly.

Round 22 1987 was even better.

Bit hard for a Hawk supporter to post on this thread. We've had nothing but success for the last 50 years. Massive attempt to troll Hawks is a complete fail

Those are Hawthorns membership figures before and after a period of success......all aboard.

21,000 odd membership increase between the years 07 - 09. Says it all really, and as tashawk and Bosk have already confirmed, your supporter base is filled with leeches.

Look I am only 34, so I am probably a bandwagoner although we did have a handful of shit years. I think I was supporting the Hawks between around '84 or '85 I thank my father regularly for not making me go for Melbourne.

Cool story bro 30k members in 2007 was actually on par with most other powerful teams. steady increase since. don't discount the fact about 10k members have come from our Tasy friends during this period. Disappointed we haven't got 73k members, put your money down bandwagoners.

First game I went to as a little tyke was Moorabin V the Sainters, and Dad and me were still waiting in the queue to get in while the game got started. I was hoping I was a bandwagoner! You could hear the crowd roar every 5 minutes and I knew it was another goal. "Are we winning, Dad?" He just stared at me with a disappointed "Where are we, son?" look. We got belted by St Kilda that day. Coulda been '68-'69. Felt like we got beat nearly every week back then.
