Yep Priddis to Duncan and Blakely to Cripps is affordable in my set up, got 15.9k left over, think I'll sit on it and hope Saad, VandenBerg and Goodes get elevated.

Not sure if Kane Lambert will play round one but can see him being a solid downgrade perhaps if he is held back, same with most defensive rookie options outside of Saad, Smedts, Hamling, McIntosh, Oxley and Brown.

If GAJ plays Rd1, I'm thinking of going in with only 4 mid premo Mids, am I crazy?

After some advice. I've never played Dreamteam before, only Supercoach, so I really have NFI on the scoring system so I could be way off the mark :)

The scoring system is very basic.

Kick: 3 points
Handball: 2 points
Mark: 3 points
Tackle: 4 points
Hitout: 1 point
Goal: 6 points
Behind: 1 point
Free For: 1 point
Free Against -3 points

That is all. So, esentially what you should be looking for is a high kick to handball ratio + tackling machine who can take lots of marks & kick lots of goals and plenty of seagull junk time possies.

Strong team Kadog, although I think the fantasy pig Swanny is still a must have in DT. Even with his shitty 2014 he still averaged 93.7 which would have had him 9th on average (only 0.3 behind 8th)last year from this years crop for forwards. I will back him to bounce back to a 105+ DT season and end up the #1 DT forward this year. If you can find a bit of cash I would recommend trading Griff or Bont to Swan. Perhaps also Higgins>Ibbo to help facilitate that trade, keeping in mind that Ibbo does have a 92.3 DT season behind him. Great kick to handball ratio & takes marks makes him an even better DT prospect than a SC one. Missy won't get you very far in DT.

Cheers Gingy.

Higgins>Ibbotson
Griffen>L.Neale
Mumford>Goldstein
Bonts>Swan

Is that too much of a shuffle?

Q. Rockliff is insanely priced. Is he a must have? Is he worth it? Between M1 rocky & M4 Neale, there is 1.2m to spend. Am I better off having 2x600k players instead?

Mummy when fit isn't a bad DTer actually.

Newest team, and probably the most balanced I've got to so far. Didn't even consider Ibbotson until I read that reply Gingy, and I think that's solved my problems. Had Geary but unlike Ibbo he hasn't proven himself over an entire season, was never sold. Of course there is the risk of a lockdown role, but at the price he is at, a 75 average would be a win and that is no way a stretch. Should see his fair share of 6's, and if things go okay, 80 average not out of the question. Would like Cripps over someone like Heeney, two sure up those two rooks on the field but oh well. Hopped on the Bont train after that last game, hopefully that isn't too reactionary, but hoping he will score similar to Macrae last year. Heppell and Mal both appear to be quite unique for what they can offer, happy with that

Rocky is insanely priced. He might well become Beams or Sidey in my team. However with GAJ's injury cloud, I need a sure fire C and he's the most likely to go big, especially against Collingwood in Rd1.

I can understand why people would leave Rocky out, initially at least for a 600k player.

Hey All,

never done dreamteam before. Is this a good team?

Note: Obviously rookies are subject to change and probably whether or not Gablett is announced Rnd1.

Judd isn't much of a DT player, never has been. JJK won't be a top 15 forward, so those two should go.
I would recommend Judd > Griffen & JJK > Swan if funds permit.

Team in progress..........some rookies are still placeholders as such but other than that I don't mind the structure so far....

Backs: Newnes, Higgins, Lumumba, KK, Goodes, Jaksch........Saad, McIntosh

Mids: Ablett, Beams, JSelwood, Wallis, Cripps, Heeney, CEY..........Vandenburg, Miller, Lambert

Rucks: Goldy, Bellchambers........O'Brien

Forwards: Bartel, Martin, Gray, Swan, Bonts, Clark.........Salem, Goddard.......

Thoughts????

Just occured to me that the season starts on Thursday, and I haven't even looked at my dream team yet
NSKfa8J.png

Am Pretty set on the forward line (well the choice of premiums anyway). Slight concern over Hogan and Lambs scoring ability (Lamb is a certain to wear a vest at some point)
I know that you lot will tell me not to select Griffen and Swallow, but I am still going to. Think both will average 100+
Really just looking at whether or not to weaken the midfield (probably take Dangerfield out) to strengthen the backline
Thoughts from those that know whats going on is appreciated as always

Trade Whitecross to Goodes and maybe Buddy to Bartel.
What is your reasoning behind Mummy? Can you convince me :p cheers

Seems like a good bloke
Also, prefer his reliability compared with other premium rucks
Mumford is still the only GWS ruck, meaning on most days he will still get his 40 odd points from hit-outs. Pick up a few cheapies and tackles around the ground and he's all of a sudden got close to 90

Around the price range
Stefan Martin - Limited exposed form. Great when only ruckman at both Lions and Demons. Could struggle with Leuenberger back fit (supposidly). Also studpily overpriced
Sam Jacobs - Similar price to mumford, and probably will produce similar output. Probably more consistent but Mumford can pull a few more 130's here and there. I also read that Adelaide will look to blood some young ruckmen this year, so his TOG may fall. Could easily swap him for mummy if I wish
Lobbe/Ryder - Unknowns as to what effect Ryder will have on Lobbe, if he even plays at all with the ASADA stuff. To unknown to risk
Goldstein - Been burnt by him before, too inconsistent. Can be injury prone
Sandilands - passed his best, un-cordinated as ****
Maric - Seems more of a supercoach pick
Minson - refer to Sandilands
Naitanui - refer to Maric

oh and on a seperate note. Why the **** are people picking Brad Sheppard?
Not even guaranteed for games

Current Lineup, still subject to much tinkering....

B: Burgoyne, R Murphy, Lumumba, KK, Goodes, N Brown - Hamling, Saad.
M: Ablett, Lewis, JPK, Boak, Wallis, Van Berlo, Cripps, CEY - Heeney, Vandenberg, Steele
R: Minson, Smith - Naismith
F: Bartel, Martin, Gray, Dahlhaus, Bontempelli, Salem - Clark, Lonie

$17,900 remaining in the cap....

I also hate the partial lockout round to commence the season....

Solid squad, too many dogs isn't enough right :p i have questions over boak though, what do you expect him to average? Don't consider Burgoyne to be a keeper at this stage either, however he usually starts the season with a bang so that might add to your advantage if that happens again.
But the questions begs, no newnes?

My squads at this stage are always Dogs heavy, until I know who is a certainty to play from the other sides - I watch as many games as I can, but don't see everything - again, another reason to hate the first round partial lockout. Murphy might become Newnes (cash depending), that might be a good change....

Boak is suited to SC, though he's every chance to push 100 like Ebert normally does. I only have two Dogs in my team atm. Goodes and Bonti

I agree, although I'd have Ebert over Boak for DT, was considering him for a while actually. Same with the dogs + honeychurch providing he is starting round 1

If Honeychurch was a Salem price (bloody should've been too) then I'd pick him, but Lachie Hunter and Caleb Daniel put pressure on his place in the team I feel. With Crameri coming back someone may give way also, be it a Cordy, Dickson or Honeychurch etc

Yeah really strange pricing. Can be seen with Goodes, too overpriced IMO. Still have him though haha.

Also yeah don't have honeychurch, only in fantasy haha. Got thread confused
