A few people have mentioned Leonardo DiCaprio. It's funny, I used to detest him and then I saw The Aviator. His acting in that movie blew my mind. It even made me wake up to his previous performances.

I remember almost throwing up in my mouth when I heard that he was going to be in The Godfather 4. But then Mario Puzo passed away and that never happened. Now, I wish it had.
 
I never got to see The Shawshank Redemption until last year. I was not disappointed.

I like a nice drama, as long as the story is sufficiently compelling (not just regular folks with a run-of-the-mill sob story).

I love action on screen, as long as it's not too far-fetched - so I'll prefer Mission Impossible to Star Wars or Star Trek.

A comedy has to be very, very funny or be an interesting story in its own right - so love stories with a few unfunny gags are out.

Good actors are vital (Leo Di Caprio is my favourite). Good music is a cherry on top that can add a lot of emotion.

Nah ....based on a father setting up a band to sing his son's songs after the son commits a school mass shooting

Very good film .....dealing with the grief of the father of the offender

Flight started brilliantly ....then got really bogged down in the 2nd half with Washington's alcoholism ....became boring/irritating
