Hey rizzo, forget about salary and all that - would you trade pick 15 for Ryan O'Keefe?

Haha it would be tempting. I probably would. But then I would shoot myself in the head if Johnstone was there

Any guesses Rizzo, at what type of players the Cats will be looking for?

Or will it be a case of grabbing the best available talent regardless of the position that they generally play?

Your guess is as good as mine. Looking at the VFL... We have Kangas and McKenna being developed as key backmen. So maybe It would be handy to have another one of them.

I think we need another small defender.

Another Key forward.

Then Ranga.

Obviously it would depend on who is around and stuff, but I would go something like this:

Tall Forward
Small Back
Tall Back
Ranga.

Jordan Jones from Geelong Falcons/Ocean Grove should be there for that 3rd rounder and would be handy.

Small back could hopefully be someone like Scott Blessing/Clancee Pearce

Tall forward in my wildest dreams be Johnstone, But i think McKernan would be a good option as well. Plays a role very similar to Ottens.

Tall defender?

Tall Forward mate. Next Buddy Franklin :D

Maybe a lack of actually seeing the player caused him to be left out. Swift hasn't really played much the past two years.

that is yhe one. To be fair it should be another section. Cannot rate due to injury

Someone said on the drafts board he's like the Loch Ness monster - many claim to have seen him, but no-one actually has...

As much as I have a rager for Lisle, would be pretty happy to have this kid - a 190cm midfielder is a bitch to match up on, and if he has a bit of toe could really complete our midfield.

You know me ;) Thoughts?

Trengove left out for the same reason as Swift then?

Lisle and Broadbent rated around Geelong's first pick. I have no issues at all ;)

Yep. From what I have seen of JT, I rate him highly. But it is impossible to get a proper understanding when I have seen him literally twice.

It'll be very interesting to see where he goes. As you say, the wraps are there, just depends on which club wants to roll the dice.

I'm kinda hoping the Cats take the gamble if he is there at 15

I tend to agree. Unless you know who is there hehe

Looking at his draft camp results, would not mind at all.

He certainly sounds like a Stephen Wells special - injured during U18 season having had an outstanding junior cv.

Trengove is the other that fits this description.

With Selwood, Ablett, Bartel, Kelly, Prismall all under 24 and Varcoe and Djerkurra both possibly capable of playing midfield roles the addition of Swift would make us pretty powerful for a while yet.

Perhaps a second round pick of Schoenmakers? Tested well at draft camp.
