Hart just has this sense of space but Bluey would run through him

I'd say you have that completely about face. Hart is not a great reader of play, Robert Shaw tried to make him a big wingman but he just doesn't have the knack for space or the ball. he is athletically gifted, and running in a straight line is very good. noted for strength one on one, and his short burst acceleration too.

McKenna had more of sense of space, not that I am saying he shirked the physical. he didn't.

2 players who had **** all in common ;)

typical rubbish BB.
You're making a fool of yourself.

Why would McKenna play KPP when Jako, MacIntosh, and Brennan are in the team?

Just have a look at them. It's not rocket science.

You have no idea im afraid.

McKenna was one of 2 or 3 strongest players at the Eagles in that period.

The strongest was Ashley Mcntosh and to the best of my knowledge Bluey and Jakovich were next.

Of the later periods to the present day im about 95% sure that only Gehrig, Troy Wilson, Quinten Lynch and Darren Glass have ever bench pressed higher number's than Bluey. I remember many a time seeing him smash players (legimately) through the ground with his tackles; he literally used grab larger opponents by the jumper and over power them instantly. There are many examples of him doing this to be found in the 1994 GF.

The strength Bluey had in his upper body beggared belief for a man his size.

And as Bunsen Burner said, given McKenna's height it made more sense for the likes of the taller Mcntosh/Brennan/Jakovich etc to hold down the key defensive posts.

The thing that made McKenna as great as he was, was the fact he was as strong as he was for his size. Put simply, he was a pacy half back flank possesing the body strength of a tall key defender. In addition to this his disposal was sublime. To watch Bluey clearing it off half back with one of his raking handballs or lace out kicks was a thing of beauty.

Its worth noting that there is a lot of Bluey in the way James Clement looks in the upper body; particularly the arms and the shoulders. Clearly Mick and Bluey brought some of the old early 90s West Coast weight programmes with them to Collingwood...:thumbsu:
