Nah, the ironic thing is we paid to have an advertisement thanking our fans for being who they are as a result of Eddie's random attack while you've got days of free advertising imploring your fans to rock up in lieu of some unexpectedly shit results.

Geoffrey, you backed the wrong horse.

I agree with your sentiments, never said the Advertiser was a bastian of great journalism. Those advertorials are shocking.

On Eddies attack, I have a theory on that. Could he have been having a shot at the supporter groups to rally the troops? He does not mind playing the bad guy and has a genuine love of football being strong. One of his comments were that urine was splashed on the bench. I cant honestly see anyone who sits in that area from either Crows or Port doing that. A beat up to get your supporters to back our clubs is what I reckon he tried to achieve. Especially when Collingwood come to town.

I love the way crows fans were quite prepared to go along with the urine accusations when Eddie said it was at a Port game, but as soon as it was revealed it was actually at a crows game it becomes a media beat up, lol.

FWIW my money is on Little Leyton tomorrow. The only bloke with more injury excuses than the crows this year.

Little Lleyton hopped onto the Rusty Crowe Bunnies Bandwagon a long time ago.

Yep he used to train with them as a 12 year old back when Cornsey was coaching. Tregenza was actually a running partner of his well into his teens and early 20s as well.

Wooosh!

Like some are saying here... they're getting desperate in Cowland. In Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and today's Advertiser they had large photos with supporters who follow the Cows telling it's members to attend the Carlton game. Today they had Kim Dillon in a body painted cows jumper. Pathetic Cows!

As i have said before desperate times call for desperate measures & up to the plate shall step the 19th man (or woman) :thumbsu:

Have heard on good authority that Peter the Bore will head the headline in tomorrows tizer.

I find this all very bizarre!

Have the 'Tiser done this before? What happened when the crows lost the first 5 games of 2000 and 9 in a row after losing the last 4 of 1999?

Edit - and they lost the first 3 in 2001 and the first 4 in 2004 - or didn't that count because on those three ocassions a Victorian was coach?

Has the 'Tiser sniffed the breeze and is worried it will be a disaster season and crows will miss the finals? Have they read D_One's 2 year lag theory? Did they do this sort of stuff for Port in 2008? Do newspaper sales drop when the crows lose? Is this the SANFL old guard wetting their pants about minimal $$$ being generated from Footy Park? Are they worried if the crowds drop away they have nothing to hang shit over port on as the crows profits are down and crowd stats are the only prevailing area were they have a big lead? Haven't the Advertiser run a 3 or 4 year campaign to back a city stadium and dump Footy Park but they now want people to rock up?

So many questions, so few answers.

I hope we get a discount on our next promotional advertisement in the Ragvertiser given this week's turn of events.

How much would Ant's article have cost commercially, for instance?

David Rodan is making an amazing and inspirational return to the AFL after LARS treatment. I thought this would be a perfect front page story in the superfooty section, but having a quick look through it doesnt even rate a mention... Wonder if Brodie Martin and Andy Otten will recieve the same coverage after their conventional recovery and return to footy.

That is sad.

One of you guys should challenge Rucci on this tomorrow morning on AA. He is the Chief Football Writer surely he could come up with a story. Regardless of club it would make for a good read learning about the LARS treatment.

And again.

Can the Crows beat the Blues?

I must say, I will find it highly humerous if they do lose today. They'd also wanna get 45k+ given the amount of bloody positive press theyve had.

Sadly, I think theyll win by 60+

I could go to town on the Crows at the moment, but I think ill leave it. I wonder what garbage we'll read in the Tiser this week. Maybe they can get Brad Symes mum to write an article.
