Watching the first half of the Anzac Day game last season.

It's a ******* good thing Ramsey was delisted. Absolute hack of a Footballer.

Ramsey was Good Pre-ACL but never got back to that after his ACL

Heppell lol he is nowhere near Pendlebury and never will be
BS, in 6 years time Heppell will be running rings around him. Provided he has retired.

I can totally see why you guys think your midfield is going to shit on us. You have to be a close observer of Essendon to see where our midfield is at right now, and even then we aren't totally sure. What no Essendon supporter will want to acknowledge on this board is how dependant we are on Myers playing decent footy. Without him holding his own in the contest we are definitely fragile. We don't need him to be great, but we do need him to at least be effective defensively. We have the quality around him to compete with almost anybody, not because we have a bunch of stars, but because we have a really complimentary group. Smith might not look the goods on paper, but actually he is a genuine high pressure footballer with damaging disposal. The tackles he lays are the ones that really matter and he keeps the opposition accountable. The rest of the guys stats speak for themselves, and i guess it just depends on what sort of day everyone has.

I have a feeling Pendles will explode this match. He looks like someone who’s been restricted by something for a few weeks but he’s slowly looked better each game. He’s only just turned 30 and is one of the best prepared players in the AFL. Lock in a big one Eddie.

And pigs will fly, Afghanistan could also win the upcoming test against India. Just blindly believing the improbable will happen doesn’t make you a better supporter than anyone else

I've never claimed to be a better supporter. I've just indicated that any supporter hoping for a player in their team to fail just so he can be right is a poor excuse for a supporter. Just keep making up shit.

Interesting that neither Moore or Adams were named in the VFL. Does that mean they're outbof contention for Wednesday or will they just rest others if they are named?

Talk is Moore will play Anzac Day. Nothing on Adams.

Guess they don't want to Risk them in the 2nds

Callum Brown to run with Devon Smith. Had huge tackle numbers last week and has been the Bombres best recruit thus far. Needs to be nullified.

In Brown I Trust.

Id assume they'd be wanting Smith to run with 1 of our mids.

Sorry if it's been brought up but just read on twitter than Treloar limped off at training today. Was anyone there that can confirm?

the only advantage i think u have is with grundy...i think all your mid match ups are on par with each other.....i think it will be a pretty tough contest...may the best team win....( stevos gotta be contained also...( mcgrath will have that job)

Wow just WoW

You can potentially make the argument historically for Merrett vs. Sidebottom, but if your position is comparing them overall, Smith and Heppell don't even sit at the same table as Treloar and Pendles.

Essendon have strong points over the Pies (Forward line has been functioning better for longer), but the midfield is pretty one sided.
Your mids can win the ball all they like, but if they're forced to kick it more often and rush their disposals, then Essendon can hurt Collingwood on the rebound if they turn it over. Skills are important.

The wet weather against Adelaide suited Collingwood very well because skills by foot were not as relevant. If it is dry, then I'd expect for Essendon to have the upper hand, albeit very slightly. If it is wet, then Collingwood will have the upper hand.

Collingwood do have a stronger midfield than what we do, but bizarrely, ours perform pretty well against the pies.

Pretty average tbh. He's okay as a release option and takes a few contested grabs but don't think he'll be able to compete with Grundy athletically. Think he's okay with his tap work but still think we're behind there. Leuenberger wont get a look in thank gawd. He's like a giraffe on heat
I'm worried about Bellchambers pushing forward and kicking a couple of goals. HAs he been doing that this year?

Our players are weird, when they’re pressured their first instinct is to handball not kick

Essendon supporters never change do they? Most arrogant bunch of tosser’s you will ever see. After 1 win think they are going to win a premiership.
TBH I thought exactly the same thing about the pies after only 1 good win.

We both had good wins so we both can head into the game with some confidence. That's what makes this game huge.
