Ben Serps comes across as a no BULLSHITE person who knows what he’s talking about

Seems to have set up our strength and conditioning and running program nicely….building a young team for success

…We've taken a proactive approach this year and we're developing our young lads, our new recruits, with Dan Bailey downstairs, who's an accomplished track and field coach. He's working with them this year and teaching them how to move on field, but also teaching them how to lift so that when they come out they're a little bit more robust to play. We’re trying to have that theme right across the squad this year.”

IIRC we have a praccy game against west coast soon. Is that still on the cards?
Been changed to a fight club format, no one talking about it now.

Caesar training report today on PRE
Training Today Monday:

Another big training session, 150 minutes in sticky conditions, interspersing game drills with match sim and some serious running drills.
Anyway I am not doing a comprehensive report today, i did that Friday, rather putting the record straight as it is quite ridiculous  what some people run with when I said Lalor was not prominent in his first match sim on Friday.

So Lalor today:

One he trained the full 150 minutes, only sitting out the big running sessions that all the new boys sit out, however he did do a few shorter run throughs with a smaller group that included McCauliffe who is still primarily in conditioning, anyway pre Christmas McAuliffe was quite easily winning the sprints for the 1-4 year players, well, on the couple of high speed run throughs Lalor finished about on par with him:)

I am starting to notice a change in his body shape already, from looking a beast in a puppy fat sort of way and a bit heavy across the ground to being leaner, a bit more defined and moving better.

In general ball movement drills he was smacking targets lace out.

In a 5 minute in tight 'Handball Game' he was a standout.

Match Sim which did not start with centre clearances, (whether teams scored a goal or a point all of match play started from kick ins). Anyway Lalor was used and found the ball a lot but the highlight was a strong running vertical leap grab under pressure from Samson Ryan:love:, (at this point there was raucous applause and guffaws and someone, coach or player, yelled out "here we go".

When they broke up for 'Role Mastery' Lalor was doing forward body work against Simms and Ziebell.
In set shot goal kicking practice from about 40 out dead in front he kicked about 10 straight, (not as accurate on the snap).

Hopefully that puts paid to people jumping at shadows?
