My only downside with Jagga for all the possessions for a mid he didn't trouble the scoreboard. Fos on the other hand half the possies and did. I still think we should of gone for Fos but I guess time will tell. And yes all talked up Jagga kid even played for us and looked happy and wanted to come to us so stop peeing on him.
No Jagga just handed the few kicks FOS got to him on platter, else FOS wouldn't have got a kick.

Ross - nothing flash but a good honest footballer, will be a big part of the team.
Samson - will surprise us all and so will Mansell
Smillie and Lalor - just give them time, both will be guns.
Mcauliff - keep an eye on this guy
add Taranto, Hopper, Lunch, Nank, Hugo and some of the other experienced guys, this year may not be as bad as will all think.
Heard all that for 37yrs.

G'day I'm new here. Not sure we need to put down another good draftee down to try and prove we have a good draft pick ourselves. I've watched all of carltons preseason footage and from what I have seen Jagga is doing well. I would have been happy to have Lalor or Jagga. Jagga was with us all last year and would have loved to be drafted by the tigers. These kids don't need to be shit on. They are better than all of us at footy.
I have faith in your Son.
He's gonna win the RS/Brownlow & Carltoons B & F.
Not even Dusty could do all 3 in his 1st yr.

I'm not shitting on anyone, White Knight. It's not putting Smith down to say he's nowhere near the level of Dusty. It's ****ing ridiculous to suggest he is.

Anyone who says they would have been equally happy with Jagga as Lalor is going to look mighty stupid over the coming years.

No, I was outspoken that I didn't want him and would have expressed my disappointment if we'd drafted him.

He'll be lucky if he's as good as Andy McGrath.

Like it or not Jagga will have a great career at Carlton. Will easily play 150 games plus baring major injuries.
With how he racks up possessions he has the highest ‘floor’ of the draft.

Like how we had the luxury in our dynasty of introducing Baker, Bolton, Pickett etc into a side that had established stars taking the brunt of the load. Jagga will get the same introduction where he’ll win a high number of disposals from very on in his career.

He will. But he won't lead them to a premieship. very good player

Lalor is far more likely to lead someone (us) to a premiership - hence pick #1.

Comparing players drafted in 2024, as premiership players is tripping balls. I think they had injuries too. Prelim in 2023.

too many qn marks over RFC

Injury management post Meehan; Lynch in particular.

Yze coaching.
Lalor & Smilie probably be gun players.

A lot of experience out the club, Dusty & Shai be hard to replace. can the current players & The 8 kids get us off the bottom?

Too fecking early to say with certainty...
Best to wait till the AFL Season starts and we have a few game results in to go by...
We have a rough idea how the new recruits will go...just need to see them in action for certain...
The Club had had the guts ripped out of it in experience and personnel...we all need to keep our powder dry for now...
And enjoy the coming year watching the young guys show their wares...
