2024 was depressing because we had 2 wins, and lowly draft picks as youth after years of success.

2025 may bring even less wins, but we've got the best youth from this draft, hoping to add to that end of this year and really build a platform for future success.

The fun here will be watching kids playing 20 games together, this could also rejuvenate players like Vlastuin, Broad, Nank, Short, Lynch, Balta, Hopper..

If it motivates Ross, Sonsie, Dow, to elevate their game. We may not be as far behind as I expect.

Whatever 2025 brings, I can go to the footy with my notepad, watch the kids and get excited over the little wins

Reckon we will surprise a few in the footy world. Youngsters will fast track their development, few of the senior guys to rediscover their golden days and Yze’s game plan to finally click. What I meant was that Jagga isn't the guy who dominates a game and wins it off his boot. Lalor is much more like that,, he has the ability to turn games. I reckon Jagga is great, but IMHO needs players around him to be a difference maker.

He was used in the VFL for a Q or 2 last season and smashed them. Then he was promoted to the seniors the next week and I naively thought maybe they were going to do the same thing. But no, went with Dow and co. instead and Mac went forward from memory.

Not sure it will work full time, but as a backup why not, especially if we are getting pantsed by a Cripps type or have injuries.
