Definitely some more size from this time last year.
Looking forward to see if his running has become even more powerful.
Would love to see this guy get a couple of games in 2015, if form warrants.....of course.

Cripps is a totally different beast...

He could change the way our centre clearance model is built...

Fair to say I'm a fan!

Doesn't show. :D

Good to see him somewhat more cut than he was last year also.

A full pre-season will set out a good platform for Cripps........as it does for most.

Young players all look pretty fit, Jaksch and Holman could do with a few extra kilos, particularly Jaksch, but good to see them in decent shape. Will be interesting to see the senior fellas, after last years hard start, surely they'd turn up in good order knowing what to expect. Graham looks as if he's been going pretty hard. There's some real size about the midfielders we've brought in the last few years. Freo have a team of big midfielders, Sydney have some a lot of solid mids and all the good teams have a fair few big guys going through there really, we'll go pretty well as long as they can kick, move and run! Certainly aren't going to be beaten physically or intimidated, we're looking like being a really big team next year both in terms of height and weight.

Certainly from looking at the training photos that all these young players are ready to go though Jaksch probably isn't ready to hold a key position and being an inside mid, Holman might have one more preseason under him to get there but he's looking bigger from last year. Whyley, Sheehan, Dick, Cripps, Johnson, Bell and now Graham and Byrne all look big strong fellas. Bickley, Holman and Menzel look a little bigger which is good.

Hope Cripps can become a bit of a Kouta type. Can see him being a good centerman who can have an impact in the air and play in numerous roles and still have a profound impact on the game, will take some developing though. He's the sort of guy, with his heighe, might end up being something else completely, especially towards the end of his career.

Really hope Holman stays fit, IMO is a better prospect for us than Whiley (3 years younger too) and has that mix of grunt and good skills. Struggled in his debut and a bit inconsistent in the VFL but with better players around him he'll shine... like he did in that preseason praccy

My job on BF for Gibbs is complete, time to move onto my next project!!

I can still remember the abuse I received for my unwavering support of Gibbs...

Time to move to our new young gun...

Cripps!

I know what you're saying but I feel you won't get too much abuse for Cripps.

Kid's made of the right stuff. Our new smiling assassin.

He showed some good signs, really showed in his game this year that reading the game is something to work on, didn't look like he's played in defence too often and anticipating where the ball/your opponent is going and position accordingly is something he'll have to improve which can often be the case with see ball get ball offensive types when they come into the AFL system. I think he'll probably spend a bit of time at half back in the VFL which won't be overly comfortable for him but will aide his learning as it has for so many before him.
