Sorry to jump in everyone but how is foster going with the pre-season?
Looking forward to seeing him play this year.
Don't know about training but the cheeky bugger says he's looking to play Round 1!!

Looks and moves very well and far from the worst kick I've seen.
Seems like a pretty confident and very much a happy character.

How's Sheehan going over the preseason?
Hoping he finds his spot in the best 22 in 2015.

Sheehan's left leg is dangerous and has been kicking quite a bit on his right on the days I've seen.
Whereas he could hardly connect with foot to ball 12 months ago, he was spotting up targets very well on his right........quick learner is Gus
I'd currently have Sheehan as a starter for round one and possibly even ahead of Tuohy. We'll see.

When is Giles expected to be into full training?

I doubt it will be this side of the season opener.
If we get some games at the back end of the season then that will have to do. It's 2016 for Giles, unfortunately.

Cam documents his journey

Injured Blue Cameron Giles has taken to a new social media platform, Melbourne-based Incogo, to document his recovery from a navicular stress fracture in his right foot.

Here, in his own words, Cameron explains the severity of his injury and just how much rehab is required to get him back out on the park.

Only the best to Cameron. Tough gig having to be on crutches for so long.

So he is concentrating on his upper body strength atm because he cant do anything with his lower body. I wonder how much AFL fitness is cardio V leg fitness V upper body.
The point is he will have lost a lot of leg strength from this injury and as he had limited preseason time before the injury, this would seemingly put him right back to rookie type fitness

He was doing weight training only a fortnight or so after the initial scare. He already looks fitter to me but let's not forget he showed very promising signs for a young KPP last year and still kicked two IIRC on Henderson from CHB.

Wouldn't be expecting much from Cam this season. I'll say it again he is definitely the forgotten man around the place and I can't wait to see him in the navy blue strip. He's the new recruit whose first kick in the first 18 will be an absolute mega-bonus.

Yes I have no worries about his upper body strength- the weights will give him that. But if the rest of him is underdeveloped ie his tank and his leg fitness, then we really cant expect much from him even in 2016.

What I'm saying is, I think you're looking at it from a glass half empty point of view.

The injury wasn't that severe and although he's skinny, he's played senior AFL games against some big names and performed well. The injury he sustained wasn't a massive one like Giles' and the training reports on him have been on days where the whole side was just doing kick to kick drills.

The way I see it, Jaksch was not developed correctly and is now feeling a little overwhelmed when he's the big recruit in a system with players going 110% at the peak of their careers. He seems an intelligent kid though and I can only see him improving from what was a promising 2014. I don't expect big things from him in 2015 but certainly expect him to be a regular in 2016 regardless of body size.

the other concern with giles is developing his upper body strength will put on weight and more pressure on the legs/feet.
This is one of the best BigFooty myths going around. Honestly, how much weight do you think he can possibly stack on to a bicep or tricep in twelve months?
