I know Judd prior to his " holiday" stopped off in London to see a physio who deals with soccer and rugby players and get some treatment.. Hammy/groins? Nephew of a friend who is a junior physio at the clinic...
He booked the holiday mid year.

He probably just needed to see a physio because he was training hard while overseas to compensate not being at the club.

Billy Gowers stepin it up.. Like the look of this kid.. Love players that can kick well on either right or left boot.
Going off Jammo's trainer of day video, I'd say they're building up a good rapport n Jammo gaining a good bit of respect for the young fella. Is Jammo his mentor this year?

anyone else pick up on this, out of the AGE article.
"Banishing memories of last summer's surgery-ruined pre-season, Malthouse said there was now an "air of optimism" at the club, pointing to such things as a fit list, including Matthew Kreuzer, Robbie Warnock and Cameron Wood all jostling for the No.1 ruck role."

I think Clem Smith will be a player. His the type of kid who will thrive in a professional environment.
He looks really happy every time I see him. Can you imagine if Clem buys into what Mick would be saying to him.

If we're going to use him as a defensive small forward, he could be playing seniors asap; we don't really have many competing for those spots. Also, the small forward position is one that give's a little leeway for size so if he picks up his running/endurance, he could be an early surprise for us.

....sometimes I can't tell if I'm being too optimistic, delusional, or just sick of losing which leads me to say these things every year about the kids....

There is no two ways about it. Under MM we have inproved recruiting and development.
Two years in look what Mick has done. He has cleaned out the list.
Gotten ride of some talented players that just could not conform to what was expected.
Got ride of some duds who should never have even been drafted to Carlton.
I am genuinely confident that we are finally heading in the right direction.
We will be a good football team again some time soon.. Might be this year might be next.

Out of all the kids we drafted last year. I think Clem Smith has the most natural talent.
Clem was the only player from the 2014draft that made the AA team as bottom ager.
His champs in his draft year was ok but his bottom age year was something else he killed it.
It was great to see a 16yr player attack the footy like that.

Got a good feeling about Clem at Carlton.

Having too much fun flipping from the carlton board to the asada board right now. A Carlton team on the rise, positive reports flowing from the club, minimal injury list - AND Essendon getting completely reamed from every direction. Soak it up baggers, 2015 is gonna be a beauty!!! Go blues :)

Almost unrecognisable from the flabby, love handled recruit who showed up last year.

How's his kicking going............HARKS.....anyone?

Since you've asked so politely........... :)

Pretty sure I would have made reference already as to just how well Thomas is moving.
All the tricks are back and he's side-stepping players with ease in drills.

Kicking? Straight line kicking is fine but Thomas loves those sharp 25-30 mt. kicks across his body where he's hitting up targets.
Haven't been to a heap of sessions but he just doesn't seem to miss even when kicking at 90 degree angles.

We'll be ..... in a good place .... should Thomas, Henderson, Walker, Judd, Carrazzo, Kreuzer etc play injury free this year......just one year, please.

Cheers Harks.

I wonder if many supporters have bought jumpers with #39?

I'd struggle a bit I think, even though I hope he absolutely dominates.

Have noticed the improvement in Thomas' physique from the pre-Christmas pictures up to now. He has certainly put effort in to get in shape. Should have a great year if he stays injury-free.

Top effort.

I find pre-christmas to now is the exact time of year when my physique deteriorates...

'I'd rather take the shot myself': Menzel walks a big game

Green jokes that he is not going to let Menzel go from his forwards group without a fight.
"He's a mid-forward but he's got class. He's one of those players who only needs a couple of kicks and he can create a goal out of nothing," Green says.
"If you put someone bigger and stronger on him he'll beat them on the ground, if you put someone a little bit smaller on him he can beat them on one on one.

"He's a very good player."

You don't say................... upload_2015-2-1_13-8-43.png

I know it's early doors but IMO Clem was the steal of the draft.

He looks in better shape now, going by the videos of Mt Bulla. You or HARKER going to the next open training session? Would love to know how you think his fitness is coming along.
