Is Giles to go LTI or is he already there?
Probably have to place him on there again. We'll wait until we find the need to upgrade a rookie.

Sheehan and Wood were upgraded but Walsh or Gowers could surprise IMO. We get the one designated upgrade plus the mid year upgrade and finally the LTI upgrade whenever necessary.

Very little to report, people.............as per the standard Tuesday routine.
I'll pump it up as best I can........but seriously.......it was a waste of time. :)

Groups of about 14 came out for their routines for the first two sessions and a much smaller group of 8 came out for the last.
3, 4, 5, 6 and ......................44 were no shows today.
Giles in moon-boot worked through the hand-ball drills only as did Walker who then went aside and had some very light kicking practice with a coach.

Foster and Giles were quite fumbly, missing more than a fair share of marks where one of the coaches kicks the ball at you from a short distance.
I guess we can excuse Giles for being off-balance but Foster just had too many balls slip through his fingers.

The highlight..............of the day was the, what seems to now be a Tuesday standard, of non-running, dispose of ball by hand only, touch football. ....................honestly, I can't be bothered.

Impressions only:
Graham has really defined his body well and has that leader aura about him.
DVR doesn't hold back and has good voice and along with Docherty, with both not afraid to push about more senior players.
Gowers, Walsh and Fields all look very comfortable amongst their peers also. You wouldn't pick them for 1st year players
Thomas is a clown................very funny boy :)
Boekhorst, even though not running, looks very nimble. Walked backwards at full speed quicker than many of us can run.
Smith looks like quite a character and has a very infectious smile about him.............yes, yes...........Yarran like.
Menzel, Cripps & Foster didn't participate through all the 'touchdown' drill.
Warnock has his left lower leg quite heavily strapped but moved about O.K.
Holman didn't have any tape around his knee today. Seems to be fine.
Byrne throws off the impression that he knows what's going on and his awareness looks really sharp to me...........Sheehan the same obviously.

That's it.................Sorry folks.

Could be worse HARKER , could always be stuck in an office in Sydney. I'll gladly swap with you!

I won't go to another open session but that's fine for some that just want to see the players.
Mick has really closed shop with anything that may have a hint of what he's up to attached...........and that's fine too.

Looking forward to the intra-club though. :thumbsu:

Thanks Harks, a lot better than nothing from where I am sitting.

When is the intraclub?

I'm going to try to get to the intraclub next Friday, I've got the day off as day 5 of wisdom tooth extraction recovery.

You'll see way more at a practice game than at a training session that is basically designed to keep us fans quiet, while the real game plan and skills are tested behind closed doors (and fair enough too!)

I am planning on going as well.

Might see you there MEB_

I expect the end of preseason report on my desk by COB this Friday.

What's a good excuse to leave work 2 hours early on a Friday?
