Maybe Brander can play the last two periods and dominate like he did at the giants

Still lol at the comments here that we should have played him more for no other reason than he was a first round draft pick.

Credits in the bank based on draft position. Boy oh boy wowee,

6 periods. 4 x 28 mins, 2 x 20 mins (no time on)

He can be a touch fumbly, give him a couple of years before any judgement at afl level. He is a midfielder who has transitioned into being a forward.

I think one of his real skills is his ability to read the ball of the pack and then opportunistically pounce to his advantage.

You can’t teach that.

I think he may surprise some.
But yes he will need time to develop, that said I was rapt that we were able to pick him up so late in the draft as I had thought he would have been gone by that point.

Players with footy smarts, are always value for money, regardless where they are picked in the draft.

What I wouldn't give to see both Culley and Ginbey put in at the first center bounce of round 1 next year

It will never happen, but a man can dream

What about a 2024 season opening bounce with Culley, Ginbey and Thick Angus Sheldrick?

Dark Sharks would be a blubbering mess with excitement.

If Hunt is the standout in the scratch matches at training playing off HBF, as the WCE media release summary suggests, who gets squeezed out of the backline to fit him in? If we are going to play 4 smalls in the backline and they are Hurn, Duggan, Cole and Hunt then where do Hough and Chesser play if picked? Are Rotham and Edwards going to get left in the WAFL unless McGovern or Barass get injured? What about the plans to play Yeo and Ginbey interchangably off HBF?

And i would say the likes of Witherden and Foley have probably played their last games. They must be miles back in the pecking order now. No point even having them on the list.

Chesser probably not in the frame for selection in the first half. Still being left out of full contact stuff and it also doesn’t help his cause the WAFL starts a month after the AFL gets underway
