Narkle officially joins Richmond training to fight for a SSP spot.

Well done Mitch. 2 weeks late with the news that had already been reported elsewhere. That's a pretty good effort for you. Dusty would be impressed albeit he would encourage you to acknowledge the real source.

I think he's actually reporting the fact that he has started training

Another tidbit courtesy of Caesar on PRE:

Tylar Young impressing early in preseason. Steve Morris described him as a Tarrant-type, but with speed, which is music to my ears because that's the exact type of key defender we need coming through alongside Balta and Gibcus.

That's why it was such a smart move to recruit Tarrant last season. It gives us the freedom to give Gibcus a couple of seasons with out the responsibilities which will be placed on him in the future. Also gives the opportunity to find a more mature replacement such as Young if he is good enough to step up.

He's been training for the last 2 weeks. Training reports on another site confirmed it.
I’m sure I read somewhere that Narkle actually came last in the 2K time trial. Can anyone confirm this?

Been 4 months since he did it. Might be quicker to amputate
Had to check it out. He probably started with a low grade one and being a tough guy made it a grade 3. Silly boy.

Turf toe recovery time

You’ll usually recover from a grade 1 injury in a few days to a week.

Grade 2 injuries usually take a few weeks to fully heal. You may not be allowed to play sports or do any exercise for 2 or more weeks.

Grade 3 injuries can take months to heal. You may need to wear a cast for 6 or more weeks and have several follow-up appointments before your doctor allows you to play sports or exercise again.

A study of 15 football players with grade 3 injuries found they missed an average of 16.5 weeks of playing time while recovering from surgery.

St Kilda have begun to engage in ongoing conversations with Stack over filling one of two remaining senior spots on its list.

The directive in the conversations are believed to ensure the Saints’ fitness programs are strenuously followed 3,500 kilometres away from the Moorabbin training base.
