Yep. Liked the look of Millers lead on Tarrant too. Would be a huge asset if he can become a legit forward target/2nd ruck.
I'm really keen on the Miller as a forward project. He has seriously freakish athletic traits for a bloke his size. It really just comes down to whether he gets being a forward. True forward craft seems to only click with a rare few.

This season will we will see JR one year older. See how his decline progresses. Miller has had an 11 game career. Kpd, ruck and KPF.
He's adapted well. Of the 22 he's most likely Jr's replacement. I hope we leave him up fwd all season.
Use Soldo for ruck back up. Maybe have a look at Bauer or young or Ryan if required.

The biggest question mark for me is whether he has the mongrel in him to use his big frame to his advantage. Don't want him to be just a lead up forward. We need him crashing packs and bringing the ball to ground.

Agreed. Really hoping he gets a fair crack. If it doesn't work out no big deal, he'll find a spot down back eventually when Grimes, Broad and Tarrant all hang up the guns but to develop a KPF from within is a massive boon for any club. Generally pay big and/or lose a lot of picks to pick up an established one.

Ross and Narkle are still training off half back :drunk:
Hopper, Taranto dominant in the midfield
Prestia possibly injured. :straining:
Cotch forward kicked 4 goals

Does anyone know when is the next open training session?
The answer to this was today.

..And sounds like Taranto, Prestia and Hopper are going to be the go to midfield.

It can’t be underestimated how important the Taranto and Hopper acquisitions are. Arresting momentum in games is so hard and it often comes about through centre bounce clearances. Adding 2 legit A grade midfielders to Prestia, Bolton, Martin and Cotchin means they are running nearly a 6 deep all Australian midfield with out including Short. I don’t know any team in the afl that can run 6 all Australians through the midfield.

It also can’t be underestimated the hunger that Taranto and Hopper will have brought to the club for a premiership, obviously being so close and (ironically) having it being torn away so embarrassingly. This is the attitude that a lot of the existing stars feed off. Along with Cotch and Jacks last year there has to be a lot more desire this season compared to the last two.

Also starting to seem like Samson Ryan has gone ahead of Soldo in the pecking order of ruckman.
I don't think so. I think they're just trying to develop both players. Samson needs to develop his ruck game more, and Soldo the opposite.

Dunno mate he's getting regularly injured every year it seems, he might have to pull the pin soon if his body is not up to it anymore. If he does before the season starts we can take narkle and bradke in the psd
Yeah.Lets chuck him out like a piece of meat.
Let's do it too all our aging premiership
Stars.

I never said that, all i'm saying he has a injury prone aging body and if he put his hand up like lambert did last year and said i've had enough then why would you stop him, i'd much prefer him to be playing believe me but when his body is letting him down why wouldn't we look at a back up plan?

Big difference too Lambo.
Soft tissue with Prestia if he's not getting king hit.
10 games out of meatball is better than what narkle or bradke could deliver.

He has it in spades - next?

Why would we provide our rivals with a blockbuster video catalogue of our match sims , any more silly ideas
Don't think they check team affiliations at the gate on open training days do they? If the oppo want intel they'll get it one way or another. You can also edit footage so it doesn't give away strats, just show us 30 mins of Dusty adjusting himself in a forward pocket. Better than the 30 seconds clips (half of which being artistic shots of planes in the sky...) of **** teasing.
