Why do clubs do this? Why wouldn't you create an even contest? Probables vs possibles has never made sense to me. Resembles a real football game in no way, shape or form

I like when one team has half the midfield, the A team forwards, and the B team backs, and the other team is split the other way. Means forwards are playing on defenders who are their kind of level, and less “well he’s kicked 7 but it was on Joe Bloggs the train-on defender”.

North did it today also.
I don't mind it.
Let a few players know they need to pull there finger out if they want to make the round1 team.
It gives us a better idea of JS so I'm all for it.

I want to add to this.

I wouldn't, if I was a head coach, totally mix the best players from each line in order to create an even contest.

I would make an 'A' team out of my best defenders and half my best mids.

I would make a 'B' team out of my best forwards and the other half of my best mids.

This would pit my best forwards against my best defenders at one end of the field and my also rans against my other also rans at the other - fair contests.

And a shitfight between all of my midfielders, good and not-so-good, in the middle.

This would mean that the contest was overall, fair and challenging for all, but also mean that each individual was pitted against someone of equal ability.

The only shortcoming is that your epically good defender can't kick directly to your outrageously good forward - not that big a deal in preseason match sim, I wouldn't have thought

You said it more efficiently before I said it in a longwinded way lol

Pretty sure that’s how Bevo does it.

So the blokes who will be playing in the serious stuff can get used to playing with each other. Especially young guys new to the team.

It's just a training run with a crowd.

They changed the teams up throughout the game.

3rd q was a much more even mix.

The last quarter was the 1s Fwds vs the 1s defenders.

It being 1s vs 2s at the start is good for SC, gives us a clear indication of players roles.

This was the best intra I have seen so far.
Make a coffee sit down and chill watching it.
Good game far higher standard than the others so far.
(I have not seen the pies intra yet)
Yes ....I've noticed a big difference in intensity levels between clubs ....SAINT's by far the worse match so far, and says a bit about where they sit

The north one was was similar.
Scrappy.
Both clubs are either elite at perceived pressure.
Or they could be shit kicks.
