Just always presents and never goes into his shell
Looks like one of the fittest players on the field
He’s a beast athlete and clearly in best shape of his life

Because when he plays forward he rarely pushes up and is selfish when he has the ball inside 50. As a mid, he looks to find targets. As a forward, he only has eyes for the goals and often burns teammates.
That was under dumma
We now have a new coach
A new coaching panel
A new style of play
Shai 1 out within 20 meters of goal
Will be devastating for the opposition
He could easily be a much better small
Forward than Charlie Cameron

He’s a beast athlete and clearly in best shape of his life
Odd size as well (but in a good way)
He’s pretty tall but still pretty lean and quick and able to get in and under

Yze clearly having a look at depth players given the side we started with.

Starting 18

B: Broad Young Vlastuin
HB: Brown Gibcus D.Rioli
C: McIntosh Graham Banks
R: Ryan Hopper Dow
HF: Bolton Balta Sonsie
F: Mansell Koschitzke Campbell

Slot Martin Taranto Nankervis Lynch Short & Baker into the starting side and it doesn't go as badly as the start of that quarter went. Good thing was that we worked our way back into it as the quarter went on and got 3 straight to finish out the quarter and get things back towards an even contest.

green stuffed up 2 marks by gettinbg in way
Kids like Green who are on the cusp need a little bit of slack imo
Will probably do selfish stuff to try and get the attention of coaches to try and break into the round 1 side but can burn teammates when it doesn’t go right

Green, Dow, Balta, Kosi, Bolton, Gibcus all doing nice things.

Green made some errors getting in the way of marks, but it was completely because he was focused on the ball, not the contest. Part courage part inexperience.

Look, its a practice match against a good side, so don’t expect too much, but thoughts so far
Gawn is killing it in the ruck. Samson not really competing is disappointing
Viney regularly breaking multiple tackles and getting clear not good
our options and execution so far been below standard

Kosi & Balta looked ok up forward.
Vlastin, Broad & Gibcus ok down back
Dow can find the ball - just needs to tidy up disposals
Naismith ok as back up ruckman

K Mac was a spud last year and has gone backwards over the off season
I’d like to see a bit more from Banks, Brown, Green & other kids.
