Prediction for Watts

Watts was good yesterday. For his first game this year, and his 4th game ever, as a KPF he did better than I expected. He took 5 marks, 3 contested, which is more than most of our senior boys even do. The pleasing thing about them was that he took them hands out infront on a lead against a good fullback in Glass. If he can do that now already, when he gets more size and strength to him over a few more years, he will be very very hard to stop. He's coming along nicely, and I hope he plays out the rest of the year in the senior side and gains valuable experience. He wont become a star overnight, but he definitely has the tools to become one in a few years time.

PS he was better than Naita yesterday, regardless of what the media or any other moron says. Have patience, and we will definitely be rewarded :D

Yeah, double :thumbsu: to you sir!

I was very happy with him on the w/e, and what I don't think has been acknowledged enough apart from by a few (including the quoted above) was the contested, hands out in front marking. We already know he is quick and very skillful for a big bloke, we know he can kick too.

What I said to mates at the start of the year is that all I want to see from JW this year is an ability to get himself into the "right spots" and to take contested marks consistently. If he can do that then the goals will come.

Also good to see (at least) two direct goal assists from him.

Let Watts develop at the rate he has too. He showed glimpses of why he was taken at number 1 ahead of NicNat. Don't get caught into rating them now rate them when their careers are over.

Watts' hands were magical on Saturday as was his mobility. When he puts on a man's physique he could be something very handy indeed.

I was also amazed at Darren Glass and his speed off the mark - to think he ran down Watts, who is clearly one of the fastest first 20m runners was astonishing. Buried that pretty face into the ground. That's where your eyes must of been looking during the game to think his game was better than the Panther. I hope Watts does well in the future but be pragmatic in your assessments please.

I was quite amazed at how quickly he accelerated during that chase.

I mean, I knew he was quick, but that moment was absolutely remarkable, and it certainly served to confirm the validity of his 20m sprint time at draft camp.

Damn!

The drugs even seem to be affecting their supporters now.

If he is so quick then his arms must be Daniel Rich short because he couldn't spoil Watts in a contest when he was leading.

My prediction is Watts will be a better player than Nic Nat, but only time will tell if i am right or wrong.

Hey Sorry if I took the pi## - just could resist. But hey I also do the same with my team too - I posted this hours ago on the West Coast board but no bites. I'm sure you'll see the humour

"A man charged last week with stealing a Crown Casino high roller's Ferrari is now "losing the plot", his lawyer told a Melbourne court today.
Adam Ramsay, 32, of Flemington, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court unshaven and wearing an unnumbered and sleeveless West Coast Eagles football jumper.
His lawyer, George Douglas, told the court he visited Ramsay on Sunday in jail and that his client appears to be "losing the plot a little bit".
