Loss Form since Round 10

Sydney loss to Carlton 15 points R10
Sydney loss to PA 23 points R14. Sydney loss to Ess 9 points R16 Coll loss to Sydney 27 points R22. Coll loss to GEE 6 points QF This game will 100% be different to Round 22. Those looking back to that game thinking it's a forgone conclusion based on that formline need to think again. Both teams play a similar style of pressure, so the only thing similar I'm expecting is that scoring will be low again and it will be a hard physical contest.
And has been mentioned earlier, umpire Stevic is no friend of the Pies, but he considered the best going around. May there be no bad decisions or howlers from the ARC

It's only natural that we focus on the oppositions match winners. Yes JDG can rip a game open. Daicos brothers are sublime talents. Ginnivan and Elliott are dangerous around goals. Howe and Moore are imposing defenders.

But please don't forget that if Heeney, Paps or Buddy go rank, it will be raining red and white goals. Our defensive 7 are one of if not the best units running around. In Gulden, Chad and Blakey we have elite talent. Our engine room of Chad, Parker, Mills and Rowie is full of grunt. And to cap it all off, we have divine intervention in Jesus in our ruck.

We have the better side. It's now up to then to get the job done.

I think the game will be very similar to our last game. The pressure will be even more intense and we will see who can withstand the pressure for longer.

Swans defend SCG better than any team as it’s our home deck. Pies will need to figure out how to break Swans defence which was impenetrable last game.

Our forward press game style & feasting on turnover matches up perfectly against the Pies run, risk, carry and dash.

Who reckons Stevic is our best umpire? BT? Other commentators?

Agree on the result not being impacted by an umpire/Arc decision. It’s a Prelim final, don’t pay the soft free kicks and we will be all good 👍

Ahh, how good is life being a Swans fan right now?! The looong wait is almost over and a bumper few days ahead:

Tonight: Find out who our GF opponent is and watch both teams beat each other up a bit.

Tomorrow: Discover if we only beat Pies by about the same amount as round 22, or a much bigger margin, or total blowout.

Sunday: Find out seating for GF. Watch the Brownlow.

I've had enough. There's a particular regular poster here who has not made a single positive comment on this board in my memory. Even this week, it's all about ways we will lose and the criticism of some of our players. Thank God, there's an ignore button because he has been ignored.

I dunno what's happened to him over the years, back when we did the podcast together he was pretty decent but now all he does is post negative crap.

I haven’t been this nervous about a game for a long while. It might be because this is our highest stakes game since 2016.

I hope we are on and the umpires are not atrocious. It could be an epic final, though I think just as likely to be a blow out in either direction. I really have no idea what to expect.

Was thinking about this, I think the 2012 GF was the last time I was this nervous about a game. Because by virtue of winning in 2012 the pressure was off to an extent in 2014 and 2016. Maybe the EF last year I was pretty worked up for but that wasn't with a sense that we could actually win the comp.

Don't drag the ball in. We will be pinged every time like against Melbourne. You can control the ball out in front of you with a hand on top then knock it out to our advantage. Can't understand why more players do 't do this. Also, Defender's, no stupid jumper tugging free kicks. Thanks.
Go the Swans!

And don’t fall for Ginnavan and his play acting so to speak

A blight on the game and the whinge when the crowd doesn’t like the rubbish
Imagine Daicos GOTY contender (gathers ball on wing, beats two tacklers and runs into 50, snaps a goal) but it's Ginni.

He gathers the ball in the wing, buries his head into a tackler, gets the free, defenders flood back, so he kicks to a pack and it's punched OOB. Great play.

Just needs to concentrate on helping his team instead of flopping for easy ball

Hi there, I have one ticket to the SCG prelim tomorrow. It's $50 and if someone wants it they can come meet me in the city this arvo around 4ish or tomorrow morning. I'm not interested in messing around on line with scammers.
