Anyone seen the prices those terrorists at the AFL are charging for prelim tickets ??
Also, where are the most expensive going to be, and the least ?
Any help would be appreciated.

I think the AFL is just catching up to other major sports around the world. Sure, we are a smaller country, but AFL has one of the highest attendance rates out of any world sport, and Australia is one of the most expensive countries in the world. The tickets are relatively cheap compared to sports in say the USA. For example, I was in Chicago and went to the NHL Conference Final, check the pricing for their PF/GF equivalents .... http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=88320 ... and the NHL is the poor cousin of the big 4 sports.

I think tickets to all sports are expensive, but if they sell out instantly (which they should), then the demand is there to support the pricing. I have more issue with the Cat 4 and Restricted View pricing than the Cat 1 pricing.

1000 tickets should got hm's first, then how many will Synney/Carlton get ??
That would mean a scamble for this one as well ??
Especially if Carlton make it thru !!

yes, there will be! we got crap tickets for Essendon a few years back but pretty good ones against Melbourne. Think there's a lot more people on the bandwagon this year though?

and yet you will still have people begging for barcodes because they couldn't afford the budget $150 membership, but can suddenly afford this o_O

You need to let this go, and stop carrying on about it in every single ticketing thread. Its wearing thin, this assuming you know what people can and cant afford, and when they can and cant afford it. Geez.

$155 for our standard membership seats for the year and $144 for the same seats for the one prelim game.... Fair enough they're going to charge more but when we already pay more than anyone else for tickets that really is taking the **** just a bit.

These 'extreme' prices for finals isn't a new thing. Most freo fans are only just witnessing this now because they are having to purchase them for the first time.

Living in Melbourne I have heard the outcry from fans on talkback each year ad nausem around this issue.

I can guarantee there will be someone whinging once we get through the GF there isn't enough allocation for fans because the corporate allotment is too big...

Yes it is, same thing at the G too, price for my home and away seat at the prelim is $170.

Jesus christ. I was being diplomatic before but you're so defensive. Your smugness and superiority complex is probably completely unfounded – when did you start supporting Freo?

Please leave it alone. The sourness isn't doing anything. You're just looking bitter in a communal time.

As for the tickets, this is appalling. It's not justifiable in any way.

At least their ticket breakdown looks a bit more fair and logical on that map, unlike the AFL who randomly designates half the stadium as being premium regardless of how ordinary the seats are.
