The only issue I had was the constant stream of people up and down our row for beer trips. Not only was it an annoying distraction, but we all got covered in beer. If you need to do more than one trip during a quarter, maybe it's better that you watch the game at the pub.

We had 4 people behind us going to their first game of football.

Sure why not pick the prelim to start watching Aussie Rules.

Did they know the basics, or were they foreigners?

Poms....to be fair they cheered loudly but they just didn't get it.

I only know it was their first game as they said about 100 times ....this is our first game.

Look they might of been tourists or perhaps if you're going to win over new fans - you get them to the big games?

I just remember going to games a decade ago where you could randomly spot people you knew as they waltzed past your half empty block ....I pray we all got to at least the home prelim if we wanted before first timers.

I was in block 127, everyone was great except one eagle supporter sitting directly in front of me. He didn't move all game nor say a word. Not even a clap for either teams goals (thought he would've jumped on the Sydney bandwagon). I mean if you're gonna pay $170 to come to a prelim, at least have a good time instead of being a sourpuss hey?

Holy moly. Are you sure it was 127, I was in 117 (directly below you) and I had somebody of the exact same description in front of me - though not sure if he was Eagles fan, dressed completely neutral, but barely moved an inch all night - Each to their own I suppose, but gees I thought he may have been dead at one point.

Which row?

If you were sitting directly behind me, and leapt to your feet when we had our first shot on goal whilst simultaneously elbowing me in the back of the head, my concussion test results have come back clear. Just thought you'd like to know.

A few years ago when Jeff Farmer was still with us, I was at a game where the row in front of me was Japanese tourists. Good on'em for giving a Freo game a shot as a lesson in cultural awareness. My explanation of the holding-the-balll rule is still discussed late at night in Hokkiado.
