I wish we could have two Salahs, lel (actually maybe not :p them Scousers would win everything)

I just use chrome and log in from there, same with DT and SC, works fine

The great thing about this game is players can fly up in price quickly or fall quickly, so by midseason we really should have a decent starting 11 and we can trade our way out of trouble.

Last season I grabbed Glenn Murray as a cash cow before he had a massive price rise coming off a brace where he scored about 25, he went from just under 5m to 9m in 2 weeks while that 25 rolled through his price for 2-3 weeks (had another game where he scored and got about 12) think he became Kane very cheaply. Did similar with Lingard (held him for longer though, ended up being a good midpricer until I sidewaysed him to a fallen premium) and Will Hughes were decent too.

If anyone affordable goes big the first 2-3 weeks I'd jump straight on them and blow a few trades to get their price rises, then once it looks like they've maxed out in price upgrade them to someone decent, or downgrade to another cash cow and bank the cash for another time.

Points scoring similar to normal fantasy?

Well at least we get a rolling lock out to help cover for this.
Make sure your formation for the round is flexible also

Some formations catch you out once they are locked in come first game of the matchday and then you're stuck with a player on your field who is only on the bench or something for their side and is costing you points

4-4-2 is the safest formation as you'll have coverage on each line, but it probably won't guarantee the most points though as defence is probably the weakest line as defenders rely heavily on cleansheets to boost points, though in this game if they concede one or two it's not panic stations as they can still get points from accumulating tackles, interceptions, goals, assists etc.

3-4-3 or 3-5-2 could work if either midfield or forward lines are strong and the players on that line that you have no coverage in are walk up starting eleven.

A lot higher than FPL

There's similar points awarded for goals, assists, cleansheets etc, but you get extra points for shots on target, tackles, interceptions, saves etc. If a striker or midfielder scores he'll get around 8-12 points, maybe a lot more for other stats like assists, shots on target etc, if a defender scores and keeps a cleansheets then you'll be looking at around 20.

Salah got 46 points in one game last season for example. That was the highest individual score of the season that I can recall and most of us had him as captain that week. If you can average 115-130 points a week early season then once your team is complete and consistently get over 140-150 a week then you're laughing

Tippaz and myself had a few weeks where we came really high in the weekly overall midseason scoring around 180-200 them weeks. I came 7th one week.

I would fail so hard at FPL/VSDT if it wasn't for FantasyFootballScout. So many rumours get mentioned on there almost instantly.
The thing I'm wondering about is who to pick from the promoted teams

Should be plenty of cash cows there, just who? Jota, Sessegnon seem likely types, but there's surely more

Might do more tinkering around later today once more team news comes in

Pedro is the midpricer I'm most suss on, but at his price a couple of good games could get him to a 8-9-10m, I've thought about Wilshere instead in that spot though, but Pedro has more scoring potential I think. Originally wanted to start David Silva as I thought he'd be a safe bet, but he may not be fit.

Bernardo seems the it pick at the moment. Don't mind Clyne as a slow burn, think he'll play more games early on than Rose at a similar price.

Lallana was really cheap too, but again unsure on his job security, might be a downgrade option.

Mitrovic was beast at Fulham and a big reason they got promoted back half of the season, think that pick will work out. Moura surely gets a good run at it now. Cairney is Fulhams captain, think he'll make a bit of cash. Bournemouth have a good opening run also, so will back Smith and Begovic in to start with. Azpilicueta imo is one of the most consistent premium defenders having had him last year. He didn't end the season well IIRC but he should be raring to go.

Starting with 4-4-2 so I have cover on every line.

I hate World Cup/Euro years :(

Had rashford this morning. One game in and my teams already a disaster.

I saw little to no value in United players

Defenders in particular are all overpriced and that is United's main asset I think. Wasn't sure if Lukaku was ready either, having had a big world cup.

Will just wait on De Gea to bottom out if he looks likes being again the top goalkeeper

Was only looking at Pereira from Leicester, but looked elsewhere

Chelski Champs are back in for more punishment.

Didn't realise it kicked off last night but I didn't have any Man U or Lester players in my team anyway.

Not going to give my team away but Mo Salah was my first picked and I worked my team around him, he's pricey but he's worth it, my best recruit last year.

Will Pedro be a regular starter Plugger, or will it be Willian?

Might turn him into Wilshere instead and bank a bit over a million for early upgrades if I'm suss

Too many World Cup types who are under done

My team:

Patricio (Fabri)
PVA, VVD, Mendy (A.Smith, Doherty)
KDB, Keita, B. Silva, Moura (Cairney)
Salah (c), Sanchez, King

Not a great start with Sanchez and Moura. Really need City and Liverpool to win and keep clean sheets...

Similar situation here

Not great from Moura and Eriksen, but I hope there's a few cleansheets on the horizon.

Will Clyne get a run? Think at 4.1 he's great value and Klopp rotated at full back all season last season, so TAA ended up being a decent slow burn in the long run for me, hope likewise here.

Got 6 of the same players as you, was thinking of VVD, but went for tried and true season lock Azpilicueta instead.
