now port have got that first one out the way, the pressure to make the gf will be greater than ever before...they stepped past the cats with ease but now are going to face either the saints or the swans at home in a prelim to make the gf, and as a saints fan myself in the afl, i think port should be able to beat these teams as their team this year looks alot better than last year!!! now, the question for port fans, will they be happy with a gf appearance or do they want to whole thing?? your team should really make a gf given you've got another home final!!!

agree that they can breathe a sigh of relief now and also agree that nothing less than an honourable loss in the gf will be acceptable, no way would they want to repeat the pies effort from last year...worst gf in recent times!!!

The PAFC, which just won that game today, WERE the SANFL club. Check your history. We changed comps. No bandwagon, we have been there for the long haul, and still are. The replacement club in the SANFL, the PAMFC (Est. 1997), created at the behest of the SANFL administration, is also supported by a fair number of PAFC supporters.

Just like you support both Sturt and the Saints.

Neglected......i don't think so. When we joined the AFL in 1997, in the SANFL we came 2nd in 97, 1st in 98 and 1st in 99.
I think you'd find that allot of us still support the PAMFC in the local comp. After all, id imagine most supporters on this website would be pretty passionate and wouldn't think of leaving our local side behind.

Great to see some passion from the port fans here (PPWA and 1870). Santos, I'll start using grammar if you like, but that's a poor cop out to just not answer my question. My team Sturt is doing great after being handed 3rd spot, but i don't expect any miracles in the finals, and for the saints, they have been poor recently and will be lucky if they last past this week.

I doubt that most AFL port fans still follow the maggies as crowds are down ALOT!!! That is disappointing, but i guess with some people if you have a choice of following a Port in the finals or a Port that is crap (magpies; no finals in 3 years running, what a surprise this occurs when they have to compete with the puffs (that ones for you santos)).

As i noted earlier, i think the puffs have the team to go all the way, too bad their greatest team is around with another great team like the Lions!!!
