The credit card is charged the 3.50. only a problem if credit card changes or maxes out between now and Sunday.
Understand that
Just mentioning it is to late to change details online. eg expiry date

You will need to do this via registeration not via your normal Ticketek online account

Yes went option one. That email after about definately getting priority one tickets made me feel more comfortable.

And yes rex down from gc $100 each, back by Virgin $109 booked at the start of June. Have family to stay with in - get this - Fitzroy!!

It's school holidays so even if we don't make the GF it'll be a cheap holiday.
Sounds great for the family even if Lions don't make it

I had to leave airfares till this morning due to my daughters work commitments on Thursday (our planned departure date) being up in the air
She is a nurse at STARS a day surgery sort of attached to RBWH at Herston
Once Thursday was declared a PH things were up in the air.
As of today she still does not know what is happenning about surgery etc. Could even end up with the day off just not sure yet

So we had to make some sort of decision
To save $400 (for 2 tickets) she booked a Virgin flight out of Cooloongatta instead of Brisbane
Leaves 9.25 pm arrives 11.50 pm. Costs $700 return each instead of around the $500 mark earlier this week
She chose one with a credit refund option if you can't go, as well as a $80 full refund cancellation fee if you want that instead

I really do not like the fact that the bolded can happen, IMO if you have been paying September Member fees (in my case for over a decade) you should have automatic best seat in the stadium access(unless SM numbers exceed the better seats on offer) and not be relegated below Cat 2-3 members. ie, middle tiers, not down on the lower levels or way up in the back rows top tier.

Anyway I feel better that I have had a whinge, ultimately I would be ecstatic if we made the GF, over the moon to get a ticket to it and I would get over it if I didn't get one of the better seats... although in the front rows behind the goals would piss me off.

:brisbane::brisbane::brisbane:

Yep, September Member since it’s inception. Would be filthy livid if copped a nosebleed seat.

Not out of the question though - for shits and giggles I had a look at public reserve seats for tomorrow night and I could get 4 in the second row of the top deck of the Warnie stand for the same price as we paid for the second back (top) row of the Warnie stand. I don’t particularly care where our seats are/were, chose category 7 cos we’ll stand, but the fact Joe Public can log on and get those seats for the same price stinks.

Rex charges $33 to change the tickets up the 48 hours prior to departure.

Virginia is $88.

Neither are refundable, I'm not sure about credits.

Four of us are travelling - expense gets out of hand quickly.

The flights were so cheap we figured we'd take the hit if we couldn't go.

Still having a blast

Having so much fun I don’t know where to look.

Would of been nice of them to provide refreshments, but at $3.50 wouldn’t get much. Assume that’s why there’s an hour between registrations, so they can clean up the place before the next party starts.

Lucky you have family to stay with to keep accommodation cost down.
Accommodation costs are a killer even for just one person. I rarely travel so it appears expensive to me
My accommodation is around the $700 mark for 1 person 3 nights. At least i can cancel that in time for no fee

Wait am I reading it correctly - you cannot choose a seating category? Not really keen to pay $500 per ticket so would gladly sit in cheaper seats. I’m sure this has been answered before so apologies.

Just think of all the money you save being located in Melbourne
No airfares, no accommodation

The AFL is a corporate machine. If we are lucky enough to make it you just have to accept that you’re going to pay a lot of money to get the chance to attend the game. Worrying about where you sit etc is just not worth the worry or effort.

I for one welcome our new overlords.

Hmm have I made an error lodging 7 of us priority one members in the one go? I figured it was a random ballot so whenever we are drawn out of the virtual hat, it gives us best available. So it might push us back a few rows to find 7 but not somehow put us in a totally different section. Or does it work differently?

I wish you could select a 'different row' option, eg could have 3 seats directly behind 4 seats. Would mean better tickets and it's a better way to sit anyway with 7 people. Oh well one day.

Yep, man landed on the Moon over 50 years ago so surely there is computer technology out there that could allocate tickets/seating in a fairer manner.

Just out of interest do you remember what year September Memberships started being an option?

Our session tickets are across two rows. Much better.

I think yes a couple of rows. With a bigger group I guess the later your name is pulled out the more you are moved back. More impact on P2/3 than p1.

At least since 2010 going by this google search. Funny (not ha ha funny) that back then Sept members tickets would have been able to get finals/GF tickets via the club.

Pretty sure you’d be able to find someone on here who scored a cheaper seat and wanted a better seat would organise a swap + $ difference in those Circs.

Oh well, believe Supporter Member in Victoria means I have no access at all, which probably makes sense. I know its a long shot, but if anyone is Priority 2 or 3 and are no chance of making the game, I'd be happy to pay above the price of the ticket for a barcode :)

I wish I booked flights earlier in the year. They are ridiculously expensive now.

You must go Brab. Isn't NRD worth more than AUD?

Assuming you operate in Nerang Dollars that is.

Yeah I locked in some refundable flights and accomodation earlier in the week. Had to sell my neighbour’s television to get the funds but well worth it. Go Lions!

Great work BRAB! If we make it, I'll shout you a beer in Frankston (just so you feel at home).
