Didnt say i did but its still far less dead than the restrictions bookmakers are placing on winning punters.

The rake back cuts to supernova's + on pokerstars doesnt really effect me as i dont play nose bleeds, im a goldstar tournament player for the most part so as far as that goes im missing out on very little.

Some us states are now getting back online, if that gets the all clear to the major sites and pokerstars allows the gates open again it will be booming in no time.

Amarillo Slim,king of the stupid bets.Once bet he could beat Seabiscuit over 100 metres,set up a 50m course,by the time the horse pulled up and turned around he'd bolted across the line for the win.

Theres a ripper story about 2 young blokes from the UK who started punting only on in game bets for Soccer, they made constant small profits by simply watching as many games as possible, watching statistical trends and then backing teams with momentum. They realised they where onto a winner and decided to pull out of their desk jobs (I believe they where Uni grads ) and rent an apartment together and literally stream and watch soccer all day. They are hugely successful and have picked up on common trends that have been profitable. I follow their guidelines for my own punting and it works really well, for instance this morning Burnley was playing Nottingham this morning in the English Championship, Burnley are the superior team, they are playing at home but 50 mins in its 0-0 year 55% possession has been with Burnley and it was 7 shots on goal to 1 and the attacking moves where heavily in favour of Burnley. Odds at this stage where $2.45 Burnley and 5s for Nottingham, I backed Burnley and around the 61st minute they score and win 1-0.

I am in a few Facebook pages where people punt like this professionally and/or seriously for another income and theres some great advice and great bets you can get on especially for the South American lower divisions.

Interesting, do they offer any service?
 
There are a few people on Twitter punting like this. They select an appropriate match, wait for odds to hit a particular threshold and punt on over 0.5 goals in play. They publish their bets and seem to be pretty successful in accumulating a certain profit target.

I tried it myself a few nights back with the help of flashscore and picked 4/5 in-play winners.

BET 365 is ALOT better mate, it tells you attacking moves and gives you running totals which is a great reflection. I often switch between the 2 as the interface for flash score is a lot better but the data from 365 is top shelf.

Let's run an example tonight for the soccer, I'll look at a few games and post some bets/suggestions and see how we go.
 
Yeah, I've seen a few screenshots of B365. Seems to be a good set of data. Is it reputable though? I have run flashscore while watching a game and it seems reliable. There is something about getting info from a betting website which says 'conflicting interests' ;)

Funny you mention this as I experimented with the Victory game and 365 simultaneously on Saturday night and the commentary was bang on and it was literally live and transparent, in saying that flash score had different possession stats. Surely there's a legal loop hole for them providing misleading and decisive data to suck punters in? Being the worlds largest book I can't see them doing it.

Let's look at the Victory game tonight to see if it provides us some plays, key is not to play for the sake of it so the evidence needs to be strong.

My father had a mate years ago who was a professional punter and part time bookie.

He still tells the story that 1 week he was the only bloke he knew driving around In a brand new porsche, 2 months later he was riding a push bike everywhere.

He then got back on track and stuck to what he was good at Harness racing backing just the place.

Seems like it would be pretty stressful.

From what I have known about guys that punt professionally, or claim to, it all seems to be very secretive. I do know that all the online betting agencies that exist, if they see pre-determined betting strategies, they will delete your account. As to what that might entail, I don't know, but they obviously exist. Now that they make disclaimers about "professional punters" I wonder whether there has been court cases involving punters who had their accounts deleted in a way that was not legal ??

They can no longer refuse your bet on NSW racing. There are limits which they now must bet you there. I thought the rest of the country would follow suit but they haven't yet, mainly because those on racing boards love the money that European corporates pay them to not change the rules.

It's one of the biggest insults this sport has had to endure. European based bookmakers are essentially cheating Australian punters, and the Australian authorities are doing nothing about it. I'm embarrassed to be part of this industry during this time.
