No particular allegiance to the ground for me either.sadly was too poor to travel to Fremantle and goto the footbal las youngster so never say any Derbies.
Only ever saw one game at Fremantle oval that was an East Perth South Fremantle game. my elder brother took me to in about 1978 i think.
played some social games of Football on the oval and went to the Fremantle Footclub early festival they had on the oval.
So overall no allegience to the ground for me.
But i do undertand many others hearts and souls were in the oval.
But it is unique in WA football being an "in the heart of the city" ground.
Do it right and Fremantle Oval can be a genuinely excellent venue going forward,
and be a living monument to the history of Fremantle and W.A. Football history!
Or is it just another housing development?
