No-one is saying that.Yep, and those people don’t deserve their child’s education partially subsidised by the government?
It would be their choice to send their children to a self-funded or more self-funded school.

Plenty on this Board have said that!No-one is saying that.
Who has said that there should be no government funding for school education?Plenty on this Board have said that!
The context was NOT "there should be no government funding for school education" but there should be no government funding for private school educationWho has said that there should be no government funding for school education?
Correct if you choose to opt out of the public system you should be doing it without public moneyThe context was NOT "there should be no government funding for school education" but there should be no government funding for private school education
Nope. You just didn't read beyond the bit you quoted. The context was NOT "there should be no government funding for school education" but there should be no government funding for private school education
I'm not going to enter into an inane back and forth with you, but you are wrong... again! 10571z was responding to a post of mine and you then quoted that response which was to do with the income breakdowns of families who send their kids to private schools.Nope. You just didn't read beyond the bit you quoted.
The context was about parents, even those who currently send kids to private schools, deserving subsidised education for their kids.
Of course they do.
And even if public funding were abolished for private schools completely or for those that charge more or considerably more than public funding levels per student, those same parents would be entitled to subsidised education at a public school. Or they could choose to self-fund their kids education further/might have to settle for a smaller gap in facilities etc.
That's where you and I differ philosophically. But you know that from previous posts so no need covering old territory.Correct if you choose to opt out of the public system you should be doing it without public money
Yes you want money taken out of the public system to support your choice and I don't because unlike you I want kids to get a good education regardless of their parents wealthThat's where you and I differ philosophically. But you know that from previous posts so no need covering old territory.
Nope, the question I responded to was about those families not deserving subsidised education.I'm not going to enter into an inane back and forth with you, but you are wrong... again! 10571z was responding to a post of mine and you then quoted that response which was to do with the income breakdowns of families who send their kids to private schools.
The said kids are getting a better education because there is less kids in the public school system.Yes you want money taken out of the public system to support your choice and I don't because unlike you I want kids to get a good education regardless of their parents wealth
That presupposes all parents of kids at private school are "wealthy" which is a complete fallacy (it may be true for a select few, but not the vast majority) as borne out by statistics.Yes you want money taken out of the public system to support your choice and I don't because unlike you I want kids to get a good education regardless of their parents wealth
Good question. No doubt the posters who want to "smash capitalism" would hold that viewDo the anti private school people believe people using private hospitals shouldn’t able to use Medicare?
There's probably a thread for it.Good question. No doubt the posters who want to "smash capitalism" would hold that view
Do the anti private school people believe people using private hospitals shouldn’t able to use Medicare?
um yep that’s my point. You take away government funding from private schools many people would struggle to send their kids there. In turn putting further strain upon the public system.Try asking what you our health cover premiums would be if you don’t qualify for Medicare. It’s a different thing cos an individual uses both simultaneously
