Tom Corless appointed as coach of Beenleigh for next year, good get by them as he has a long and successful coaching history behind him. Does anyone know if Oppy applied and was overlooked? I thought he was starting to get them up and about, they improved as the season went on. Any other coaching whispers?
Beenleigh have also announced Tom Henwood as reserve grade coach (formally Alex Hills ) good player who should drag a few players across with him which is what the Buffaloes need. Two good coaching appointments at Beenleigh however they have a lot of work to do over summer if they are to bounce back in 2015.

just wondering weather logan closed down and started up as a new identity cause they may owe money just wondering
No, Logan were to merge with Beenleigh. But the majority of Beenleigh members voted against the merger, yet the majority of Logan voted for. The "new" club, the Suns, have both some Beenleigh and Logan members.

So, which division are The Suns going to play in next year?

Fair enough, it is only QAFA. However, if you are losing most games and never win a flag isn't it going to be hard to recruit players without some sort of incentive though? Not to mention any juniors coming through would not really aspire to play seniors at a club at the bottom of the ladder.

spot on Snoop, it takes time to build from bottom up and the juniors are a very important part of any senior clubs long term success, Suns will have big focus on juniors and in particular U19's in 2015. At senior level the new coach has a few proven quality players coming with him which will certainly make the Suns more competitive in 2015

Let me guess, the "few proven quality players" are being incentivized somehow?

they live in the area and don't have the time to commit to 3 nights of training and Sunday rehab sessions as is the case at State League level. Two nights per week is more suitable for them particularly when they all have young families. F.Y.I. the club that these guy's came don't pay players and membership is $550.00.

UQ has appointed former Port Adelaide player, Darren Pfeiffer, as their QAFL player-coach for 2015.

The 2013 Norwood SANFL premiership player has signed a one-year deal with the Red Lions, beating out seven other short-listed candidates for the senior job.

Pfeiffer comes to the Red Lions after a season at Redlands in the NEAFL, the latest in a decorated playing career, playing 23 AFL games at Carlton and Port Adelaide and a SANFL premierships with Norwood.

The 27 year-old is excited to embark on a new challenge and said he would relish the opportunity to teach a new group of players.
