QAFA (A) 2015 season

We can all look smart with the benefit of hindsight, but every club wants to keep their own identity. Let's not forget that the Buffs have played in 8 of the last 9 finals series for a flag in 09 and a gf appearance the year before last. They have a good new president and a terrific coach with a great track record and although they may still struggle on field for a while longer, I'm sure they're heading in the right direction. I'm sure come rd 1 they'll be able to field 2 teams somehow!
Fingers crossed they do field two sides in round 1, but more importantly for the entire season which from all reports could be a struggle for the Buffs.

Have beenleigh and Logan always been in the same comp together? That area is a rugby league heartland so it must be hard coming up with 4 teams plus depth each season. Park Ridge isn't too far away either

Also i can see the buffs playing the first few rounds then eventually dropping down, making a mess of both this comp and qafab. Good luck to them though hope they get there

Exactly why it made sense to join, less competing for players makes for a stronger side which in turn makes the area more competitive for afl in general. At the end of the day it is what it is and I wish all sides the best for what should be a competitive comp. just think Beenleigh in particular could have been a lot better off than they are now had some people looked past there own ego and pride and thought more about the good of the game as a whole

I am no expert here, but I would think once the season commences, there is no possible way to change leagues ???

Surprising with the new coaching staff at BUffs both from different clubs that they can't recruit players. Would have thought they would bring a few players with them from their respective clubs. How times have changed.

Good coaches do attract players if they are good coaches that create good culture . Unlike Tom and his team .

Had nothing to with ego. More to do with pride and what was right at the time. We now have a great direction, we are in a much better position then this time last year as we actually are being coached and pushed as opposed to being set up for failure. to all that hear that we are struggling to the point of going down to QAFA b , believe what u want, it's no worse than last year. If not better. So please write us off at your own peril , say what u like about the buffs as this is an open forum but I will say this , a buffalo doesn't go down easy.

How have Carrara and Park Ridge been going in the pre-season games?
Carrara will be a huge dark horse this year. Everyone on the Bond bandwagon but beware of the saints. Recruited a few from various Coast sides i

You say wasn't ego's but pride.....sometimes they go hand in hand.
You point out buffs finals history...why then a successful club cant recruit or keep players...
Where are the juniors going..
Does the sporting club back you?
Found with sporting clubs although football brings most revenue, cricket ,netball etc get alot more say on things......is this a problem for the buffs.

i played under tom corless a very long time ago and found him to be a good coach knows what he is talking about, wasn't it about 5 years ago he took yeronga to back to back premierships can't be to bad, maybe Kcab2kcab played under tommy once and couldn't get a game sounds like sour grapes,if tommy is given the time and the club committee is behind him he will take the buffs back to a finals contender, do the buffs still pay players? i heard there for a while the sports club used to give the cricket club, the tennis club and the buffs 20 000 dollars every year as a kick back for all their members supporting the club does anybody know if this still happens
