Let's get back to the footy .

Has suns defenetly pulled the pin?

Are Blokers boys settled and good to go ?

How strong will Morton and Ashley be?

Will David take the Roos to the flag?

And will Redcliffe back up in twos again ?

A lot of unknowns with the new comp. Which comp is stronger QFA North or QFA South - in relation to Aspley, MB, Kenmore, Robina. How will the sides coming up a division go?

Sixthsense.....ain't you a turn coat....
last year you were texting how great the pirates and blocker were doing..
now your bagging the club...
pirates ripping the guts out of redbacks just like moorooka last year....
before you start commenting get the facts right first......
You would know that the pirates lost a lot of players to another club but your not saying they ripped the guts out of the pirates. .....
really thought you were better than that....enjoy yeronga

So the question is if all good at the Pirates why did all these guys leave wasnt one guy a B&f or runner up in the ressies 2016.

All good at the pirates commish with plenty of good work happening on and off the field.
Yes one of the players was ressies b&f winner and as you would know a great bloke who did alot for the leopards snd then the pirates..
left to play withhis brother and to free uphis weekend for young family...
few others because of work and some to play with mates...which is all understandable. ..
my frustration was with sixth sense comment who was with pirates and all last year sprooked how great the club was etc ...to say we had "ripped the guts "out of moorooka and doing the same to jimboomba...
The players that have left have all said that they will be coming to support the pirates as often as they can....which is great...

You will find they were all ressies players mate. Many left as they didnt get much game time last year and would find it that much harder this year. Others left due to age, family, mate ship. Happens every year, even at the best clubs.

How are you guys looking? Word on the street is you guys have recruited well and looking to have a serious crack.

Senior boys on the way out too. Yet to apply for clearances .. and these boys got regular game time as well. Lack of game time not the reason for blokes leaving. Many other factors involved.

I think we can link the departures to your 5th/ 6th retirement Morro? A sad day for most! I just came for a ticket to the gun show every saturday! eh

Merely stiring the pot. It was bound to happen after comments made about our reserves bnf winner and the fact he ripped the guts out of the pirates by taking multiple players with him. Which couldn't be further from the truth.

The club and blocker no who's gone and
Hasn't. ...
didn't build a senior club in 3yrs without knowing what is happening. .
I think he knows more than a 1/4 of what you think you know.
Not onlyat the pirates but in all comps...
good luckin getting a game with all the recruits at yeronga.

So what makes Aspley so good??? I know the club as a whole is very strong being in the NEAFL level but do they really bat that deep?

Happy to be corrected here if wrong but....

"Aspleys 2nds" are the DIV 2 seniors, a NEAFL squad consists of 40 registered players, where do the fringe NEAFL blokes play when not playing NEAFL? There are no seconds in NEAFL...
Do they get sent to other QAFL teams? or down to the seconds (DIV2). If the latter then they will be very strong.

They go to the QAFL and there is a draft system in place in regards to which QAFL club they will play for.

The NEAFL xtras go to QAFL sides .The word on the street is the Aspley sports club have given the DIV 2 teams a war chest 100k and thats going to get u a good side .They want to back up in the Div 1 this time next year and be successful as most Aspley teams are .

So are you suggesting Commish that it's now a competition for the runner up title?

If it is correct that 100k has been provided to Aspley, what hope do any other clubs have with blokes paying their way to play.

Shouldn't be too hard to get a game at yeronga I wouldn't think. I won't have a coach leaving blokes out to play ring ins this year so I should be fine

38256, member: 173127"]What a fantastic thing the pirates have done. To give Nick Pearson the opportunity to coach a senior side says a lot about what the club think of him as a person and a coach after only having the one season as a coach under his belt. To coach the Pirate ressies to a prelim final as well as playing senior footy all year shows the great level of maturity and football smarts he has. And to get the chance to coach with his brother who is a premiership winning coach is a massive signing for the Pirates. Three short years in existence and have already made huge inroads in QlD footy. To have Tim on board shows how good the club must be doing things, both on and off the field. The transition to Div 2 football has been made all that easier with a professional man like Tim taking the reigns. And with his brother by his side in 2017 I can only see the Pirates going from strength to strength.[/QUOTE]
Sixth sense big change of heart about your previous coach....
you would be a good politician jumping ship and bagging the previous leader..
Find it very sad that you came to the club and had avery good year ...well respected by all and then a few months later your rubbishing the club....
good luck for 2017 and if you do come to a pirates game will look forward to a beer on the hill...
