QAFL is the only league with more than 10 teams. NT 8, SANFL 10, WAFL 10.

If they really want a stronger QAFL, a couple of teams have to go. Good luck with that.

Can anyone clarify the points for the Southport VFL boys dropping back into QAFL?

Just looking through Labradors points from today and it seems they have a few sharks listed players as 1 pointers. That is a another massive advantage if true.

The gap seems to be very big between the top of the ladder and the bottom unfortunately

Its a major oversight tbh.
 
So no one else wants to talk about football. What an amazing effort by Reece toye to play 200 games for the hornets. The club copped a lot of shit for player retention over the years. This bloke is junior of the club, he played in our first season of the qafl. He’s was a good bloke back then and still a good bloke. His old man played over 200 games for grange as well.

Ok. Congratulations Reece. Let's get around damochandler everyone for getting around Reece! 1 x 200 gamer doesn't defend a club regarding retention. (And I am not questioning retention). Quote multiple examples and build a timeline. Or you could restructure your post to celebrate Reece and not make it accusation of fellow posters' neglect. Huge effort and deserves celebration but to storm in with a "jilted lover's" perspective can be interpreted as a selfish moment.

You’re new to Queensland footy part of this website aren’t you and it’s 5 200 game players at the club. Plus plenty that have played over a 100 games

Seen Aspley for first time yesterday and they very slick. Very well coached and structured.

Think they best chance of Brisbane Clubs winning flag by fair margin. Be a great contest when they play Broadbeach.

Andy it’s been a long time since Morningside has been beaten like they have this year on the scoreboard.
what’s going on at the panthers.

I also see no one talking about Beamer now he is winning. The bloke has worked hard to get Grange winning and we only seem to like talking negative on here about some people.

Not new at all. I was just saying 'if there are a lot of people questioning the retention rate of the club' then highlighting 1 x 200 game player doesn't change that opinion. Now that you mention 5 x 200 gamers and some 100 gamers you are getting somewhere. IMO you could have just celebrated the player's milestone and left out the comment about the club copping stick in regard to poor retention. I for one haven't heard any such opinions.

If you read the comment I did celebrate. You just ignored it and read the one sentence about player retention, just go through all the threads from 2009 to 2016 and you’ll see it

Note where I said "you could have just celebrated" which in itself acknowledges your celebration. I focussed on that one sentence because I thought it detracted from an otherwise good post. Anyway, enjoy your Sunday and 200 games is a fantastic achievement.

Possibly the fact that one side has gone backwards in terms of personnel and the other has taken a giant leap forward. You could argue coaching is about getting most out of whatever you have so who knows? I watched a reasonable bit of yesterdays game Roos v Grange. was a really good game of footy. Both sides similar styles of play with fast play on, shifting lanes style. Eagles fwd was a handful, Scholard fwd was a good target too. I think both will be mid table. Decent crowd and all 3 games were really solid.

It's a great effort and one that should be celebrated by the club in particular and by Qld football. A bona fide 1 point player Damo.... :)
