Great win from Mt Gravatt. Surfers had a kick from about 45 metres and just missed. The ball was sailing through for a point then the siren went. Crazy game for the bottom dwellers! Plus, Noosa lost again. I think they’ll have another hard season. I know it’s round 3 but Noosa need to be winning these 50/50 games. Every win counts for these teams in the race for 6th place.

watched Broady defeat M/dore today , the first half we were dominating and came out in the third quarter and it looked like we knew we had it won and the game plan went out the window and by 3 quarter time the Roos were only 1 point behind,
Then in the final quarter they got off their arses and came home by some 4 or 5 goals, The Roos were good in that 3rd quarter, are a competitive side, Once again Scholard was excellent ,, Hes a very good forward ..
On another note Broady opened their renovations and the new deck is a great facility ,,
Big turnout by the Broady supporters as well

Some good results here - thats interesting report about the Roos v Cats game Stuy too - good to hear some fight in Maroochy bc it would have been easy to turn your toes up at 1/2 time. Noosa 0-3 is going to make the season interesting for them now. Esp losing to a couple, of sides potentially same part of ladder and at home too. Mounties doing well, Sherwood look like in for a long year unfortunately, the NEAFL clubs will be strong, Grange possibly improved a bit too. Long year though.

smy, mate they did well ,, had some very good passages of footy abs competed hard,,,many Cats supporters were quite worried at three quarter time , including me ...lol

Yeah the Roos were pretty good today and whilst they are 0-2 wouldn’t shock if they played finals. Strong midfield.

As for the Cats definitely a bit of a mental thing 3rd 1/4 and all credit ti Maroochy to kick 6 unanswered goals, but in the end bd the cats steadied and did enough. Est crowd 700-800.

Big game v Redland next week but actually the whole round is a cracker

Good to see that grange MT G and morningside have all improved big time makes for a good comp

Matt Payne BOG for Lake Boga in Country Vic, followed by Jacob Simpson, Tyle Williams and Jake Warren. Do they have a salary cap and points system in that league? All these blokes from SEQ clubs,3 from Maroochydore FIFO

Ridiculous - can you imagine Queensland's best ruckman delivering it to Qld's best onballer on a weekly basis. Is why I don't donate to Farm Aid Bud .... :)

These country leagues generally have salary caps ranging from about 80 to 120k, obviously more than qafl but not by that much. Other clubs have lost blokes to fifo too. I’m happy they are trying to crack down on it a bit down there, no way park footballers should be getting 1k a game it’s ridiculous. No wonder clubs down there fold etc having to compete with that.

Ohhr man I was very excited that being able to get out and watch footy again meant I could also finally visit the Sunshine and Gold coasts! Noosa came in Rd 2, and it was a really nice area. But Grange don't leave town again until Round 9 (v Broadbeach). That's a long wait before my next trek.
