PBC V ASPLEY.

PBC had Dylan Patterson as an emergency its says on playhq. GCVFL took him. Sounds to me PBC is overthinking it. Aspley for the win.

Lab at home v Surfers. Nothing in it. Surfers seems to have drawn on their ressies while Lab seems to have some SP in.. Lab the win.

Grange over an improving roos... could be a shocker with roos winning.

Noosa back to earth via RVP.

'Sherwood fibros' giving a good account of themselves vs the 'silvertail pussies'.

My Round 9 Tips

Aspley
Surfers Paradise
Wilston Grange
Redland
Broadbeach
Morningside

Stretched for time this week - so it seems I've run out of the stuff (ie, time).
A few quick items:
  • Redland V Noosa is a replay of the drawn 1999 BAFL Grand Final, so that always adds interest.
  • The most extensive "QAFL" history of any clashes this week is Mt Gravatt V Broadbeach, a record of 30 to 24 respectively across 54 games. Mt Gravatt has kicked 675 - 626 - 4676 to Broadbeach 637 - 607 - 4429. If Broadbeach win today, they will close the score gap - but the Vultures will still have more wins, of course. A wet day, so scores may be lower.
  • Labrador and Surfers Paradise have a history that extends further back than any other clash this weekend - but I don't have the GCAFL results.
  • One last one: Across the seasons 2005 to 2013 and 2020 to 2024 (including all Senior competitions), Wilston Grange and Maroochydore have a record of 12 to 11 respectively. The Roos have a chance to even that up today.

Good luck all.

Palmy is definitely showing their ability this season great comeback effort
Yes good win by Palmy ...have a good side thats for sure .
Do not write off Aspley though ,, in 2022 they won 16 lost 2 and won the flag by 7 plus goals
In 2023 they won 15 ,, lost 3 and won the flag by some 7 goals ,,,
Food for thought

Watched Broady account for MT Gravatt today,,at half time the score was 18 goals to one goal .. Whist Broady may have eased off in the 2nd half I must say the Mt Gravatt players were really putting in ,, well done to them
Broady youngsters in Finlay Gray and Jez Butler weere very impressive

Not sure with a thread of Geelong you could even begin to call any club silvertails.

But your Fibros put up a good effort today until halftime but then the Siders kicked into gear. Cockatoo was outstanding

Morningside have averaged 19 goals 11 behinds this season per game ,,, 7 timea well over 100 popints and 2 times were 90 points with wins over Redland and The Grange ..
Thats massive scoring power !!!
