Disappointing news today that we will be losing Leigh Harding as our competition manager. Thought he has done great job in tough circumstances over last few years with Covid and introducing points and salary cap.

Be interesting who his replacement will be as big shoes to fill. Seems that whenever we get good people running competitions they move on?

Especially with new system coming on line with player HQ things might be a headache at club land early in new year?

Agree - really approachable and just a good fella. TBH would not be surprised if completely burnt out - he oversaw more clubs / competitions than any person at AFLQ and I would argue nearly Australia. A huge workload.

What’s he going to? Which lucky club gets him as a coach???

It's November first game is April. Think there's plenty of water to go under the bridge between now and then.
Some blokes don't show untill end of Jan.
The only thing you can be sure on is Sandgate and hinterland in box seat.

Wynnum FB in overdrive with all these player announcements. Just picked up a classy Mid from the chooks. Looking like a mass exodus at the pen.
Still early days. Good see to Wynnum on the front foot as they move up into div 1. Didn't see anyone too notable though in their signings. Hopefully they can recruit some big time types with the alleged loss of their two key posts up forward.

Plenty of decent footballers getting around in the Friday league(s)

Think it would be an achievement if anyone was actually showing up or doing any sort of preseason at this stage. Snorkels everywhere

Few decent signings for Wynnum, Teejay Halkias will thrive at that level, no mean feat winning league medal in QAFL reserves. They'll have plenty of bodies on the park anyway

I would rate Div 1 on par with QAFL Ressies or even stronger with certain teams?

So you would think he will be handy but not sure he would be in the elite of that competition.

Great club man who will be missed at Morningside as keeps the mood light hearted around playing group.

Elite gets thrown around pretty easily these days.
