From memory a few of your blokes were allocated wrong points and would of pushed you over numerous times!

No think you will find they were never cleared properly so they weren’t at a competing club hence why no increase of points.

Not sure why clubs need extra points if they don’t use them?

Or how they get them. Two main reasons are lack of success or lack of juniors. The criteria aren’t linked. In last 4 years Ipswich have played in 2 grand finals and a prelim yet get dispensation because of no juniors. Pine Rivers play a grand final but continue to get dispensation even though they have juniors. Moorooka spruik a pathway with Calamvale so now have access to one pointers but still qualify.

The points system is a joke

Probably don’t have an issue if clubs have genuine reasons as to why they need extra points. But maybe fix the problems that causes the request for extra points so they not required.

I think most clubs try and get a leg up anywhere, so if you can do it why not.

But is a clear advantage of a Div 1 or Ressies QAFL player on rest of competition. If that makes a difference it remains to be seen.

Obviously didn’t help Pine Rivers last year but might be difference this year?

Should we pick our under 11’s in the seniors ? Would gladly swap points for a colts or a under 16’s team !

Hope everyone enjoys their final hit outs before Round 1. Everyone gets through healthy and we can all have strong lists to pick from after Easter

Yeah we have juniors, hoping a couple of my second year Under 8.5’s are willing to play a couple Ressies games for us this year.

Yeah, was a terrific match for both sides. After what I saw, I would say Zillmere are right up there as the ones to beat.

I hope you guys can keep a good bill of health and keep everyone on the park and give another flag a good nudge. Some terrific blokes over there that deserve another.

pfft, Longy doesn't deserve or need another one.
 
Went down and watched the Sandgate Kedron game today. Was super pleased to see a much more competitive game. Credit to Sandgate, played a much better brand than when I saw them v Zilmere. In the end, I missed parts of the game because I was chewing the fat with an old friend. But, it was a point either way/draw. We certainly played a better brand ourselves than again MB. I am sure through the year we will have a great battle with Sandgate and others. Notably, Sandgate had their key guns out, and we had a few out ourselves.

Looking around at the other results, well done to Pine getting over the top of Zilmere. For me, this sets a bit of a form guide to say that Pine will once again be around the mark towards the top of the ladder. Yeronga look like getting over the top of a plucky Jimboomba, and I notice that Corrie has also pulled the boots on.

Also heard Aspley gave Hinterland a huge touch up. Any reports? How did the Tassie boys go?

The elephant in the room i guess is MB beating Caloundra fairly comfortably. Any reports from the game? I am sure this will generate plenty of discussion.

Even though it was a week ago, heard a rumour that Harwood didn't leave the goal square in their demolition of Kenmore. Any reports?

Any other reports today?
 
Kenmore v Pirates was evenly matched. I think Kenmore have picked up blokes cut from Sherwood. Ressies was terrible

OR just maybe we wouldn't have to deal with a points system if "Clubs" didn't try and buy a premiership....ffs

Yes mate.
Good last hit out for everyone.
Both games close and played in good spirits.
But only practice matches so hard to judge anyone this early.
Looking forward to the real stuff.
So long as your strathpine case doesn't get out of hand.
Would be shithouse to have it compromised now.
