Big week in div 4 with the top 4 sides all playing. Woodies need a win against zillmere to probably lock in 2nd spot. Sandgate have 3 tough games to finish. Next week game against the Woodies will be massive in who gets the double chance in finals. Uq seem to have picked up 2 points from the wash out game when it hardly rained a few weeks ago, those 2 points could be very handy for them, hard to see Morningside getting enough wins to over take them

would be a travesty if we miss out due to that 'wash out'

Woodies conveniently drop a game to keep us out of finals after we beat them last week.

Complete dribble.

Couldn't care less who finishes 4th, we want to finish as high as we can.

Short on personnel the last few weeks and beaten fair and square by 2 good sides.

When you're 35+, one week hammy and/or calf tweaks turn into 3-4 weeks and we're feeling the pinch!

A couple of cracking games last night. Siders v UQ next week will shape the final 4

Bigger game is Woodies v sandgate.. Sandgate numbers seem to be down again, Woodies bit inconsistent. Winner will likely grab 2nd spot and the double chance. Uq seem to have improved every game this year so you would think they will beat Morningside

Two big games tonight in div 4. Sandgate v Woodies will determine 2nd and the double chance. And Morningsides last chance of a finals spot would be beating uq. Uq seem to have improved all year, a win tonight and they will play finals and be a tricky opponent for whoever finishes 3rd. Sandgate have a full side on the team sheet so that will help them, but they always seem to lose to the Woodies.

Miholapoulos from Magies has kicked 42 goals for the year, Ormeau have kicked 46 for the season, 0-1-1 tonight, think they have got a head of themselves nominating for Div 4.
Surely wouldn't be fun turning up every week knowing they going to get reamed

aflq said that all new teams to Friday nights would go through div 5. Bending this rule hasn't worked out well... good work to the Ormeau blokes for turning up every week and giving their all. They are just a long way behind the established clubs.

How great is that 2 points from the wash out game that UQ grabbed for calling a wash out after a few showers... will likely get them into finals unless mside can beat sandgate next week.

Well done Ormeau and well done to the moorooka boys. Once again regardless of the score the boys showed up and played the game in great spirits. The club even put on a carton for us. So hopefully the footy club keeps at it and get some good results next year. All in all another great year of Friday night footy and hope to see everybody back again next year!

From the little I have seen of div 4, it wouldn't take much to take Ormeau from where they are now to finals in one pre season.

Yes we are off the pace but let's not pretend this comp is better than it is.

That said, there is some serious guns in this comp who could easily go up a couple of divisions and still be guns.

Take into account Morro that most sides guns would be sitting out the Ormeau game....

So you probably haven't seen any, just old farts like me instead.

They only have to improve 2 spots on the ladder to play finals!

There are a group of 3-4 guys playing regular senior footy at Moreton Bay this year who were playing for sandgate in this comp last year. Impossible to say where the comps line up without teams playing, but I would gauge off what you see when Ormeau play. They kicked 1 point last night in a whole game, they are probably 10 good players away from being competitive week in and out in div 4. Would they make finals in div 5?

Really mate?

Clubs playing div 4 Friday night footy are resting their guns? Lol

Maybe half dozen players is all it would take to become competitive.

Scraped together a team last night as many of us couldn't play.

I don't really know much about div 5 to be honest.
