Long Time listener First time caller, great pic there at the ALFQ Captains day all round!

Did make an observation myself tho, I was under the impression that Sean Toohey has been captain for the Axes for quite some time, since merging back in with the Magpies has he been evicted from this roll? was there some internal club issues? Did the club vote your for captain or was this a self nomination?

Sean Toohey is still the skipper if he wants to be. Job is his for life. Havent seen him this year yet!

Only about 50% of the people in the pic are actually the captain from what i gathered talking to blokes there.

We are flat out getting blokes to training and i wasn't planning on sending anyone given thete are already 3 blokes from the Magpies in the picture.

But i was reasonably firmly told on Friday by AFLQ that we must have someone there, so i took the hit. Even had all 4 of my rugrats with me causing mischief.

Nice first post though Happy - now get down to training!

Still a month before the two comps start. Any teams played practise matches? Would Collingwood Park be fav in div 5 after a good season last year? Will ormeau be able to fly with the div 4 teams in their first season?
 
Also Curious to here how UQ vs Coll Park went? RMajor22 has been quiet since?

Coll Park rumored to have an Injured Watts? any updates on that?
Could this impact there season?

Or even worse, there result against the club we formally knew as the "Woodsmen" this week.


Looking forward to a good season ahead! Anybody game enough to do there seasons predictions for both divisions?

Wouldn't have us as favourites. Have lost a lot of players and replaced them with kids from redbank high school essentially.

Duey was injured but the extent of how bad the knee is at this stage is unknown.

Friday night against UQ was another good tough game played in awesome spirit as always. Wet conditions lowered the standard of the game but UQ still to fit and classy and easily won.

Still looking forward to Friday against the woodies. I've been playing in the middle not up forward due to lack of mids so I might have a battle with my brother Thommo Friday night.

Anything on Jindalee vs Zilmere ??

No info from me, will be interesting to see how the Jags fare in this comp. You'd think Zillmere would've beaten them though.
 
anyone confirm Bulldogs have folded before even starting and poor old Div 4 is now only 5 teams?

Could be a riot if true!
