The combo of marks and tackles is what makes it so hard. To be playing inside enough to get that many tackles whilst also spreading enough to take that many marks is an exceptional feat.

Edit: in that famous game against Melbourne Carey kicked 11, had 22 kicks, 15 marks and 9 handballs. So close!
