Im too lazy to dig through the boards,

Questions: Grand final logo on grand final jumpers. Yes or No answer, Are they ironed on? & how many GF jumpers are made for each player? Two days before the grand final, Fremantle put up "2013 match worn and signed Grand final guernseys" ...now surely if freo one, the players would be keeping them ?

Someone is selling a Hawks 2012 GF "PI" jumper on ebay with the logo sublimated on...

I dunno if there ironed but i think 2 for each player. The 2013 match worn are fake because Match Worn wouldn't be possible because they haven't played in it yet

They probably timed it for the auction to end at a certain time a few days after the GF was played, or notified in the description that the item would be ready at a certain date.

TheGreatBambino if you check the Grand Final jumpers discussion thread (it's still stickied) then there's a fair bit of info on sublimation vs. ironing of the GF patch.

For the linguists on here.

What's the difference between Fallacy and Farcical?

I hear those 2 words and get easily confused by them.

Farcical is an advective, which is basically a word to describe over the top comedy. To use it in a sentence: The AFL's clash policy is farcical. (The AFL's clash policy is a joke.) The noun of farcical is 'farce', i.e. The AFL's clash policy is a farce.

Fallacy is a noun which is arguing with poor reasons or mistaken beliefs. An example of a fallacy: Andrew Demetriou hates Fremantle, therefore it's his fault that Fremantle wore all white. (when it was actually Fremantle's decision). To use it in a sentence: People believe that because AD hates Fremantle, it's his fault they wore their all white uniform, and it's all a fallacy.

being the happy hawks fan that I am, I was looking through the hawks nest online and found this. Now seriously, I haven't seen the thing in real life, but why would they post a picture with the old puma neck with an adidas logo on it? If anyone has seen one of these, is it this neck or the new one?

I also found this which had the old puma neck but no logo at all

That photo is also the 2008 one.

You'll get the real deal. All the shopping was done prior to the grand final.

It would be because they are currently licenced with Adidas, but they have these Puma jumpers they never got rid of and they can sell off these old jumpers for an influxuated price. But Adidas, being the shithead company they are, would have demanded their logo being photoshoped into each location where the Puma logo is. However, the dumbf***s missed the puma logo under the neck of the colllar.

Shithead company?

They paid for the right to have their logo associated with Hawthorn. It's barely a bad move to overtake what's rightfully theirs: the apparel supplier's space.

It is their right to do that. But the way they came on here and banned their logo for us to use was a bit of a shithead move.

Hi guys,
Is there any chance someone could post the guernseys of the teams from the NTFL (Northern Territory Football League)
Many Thanks!

When did the VFL use these and then discard them. I remember having a Fitzroy Scrapbook inside the cover it had a brief history of the club. I have an old show bag with nanda as the sponsor with the similar design to the swans one I found on the internet. image.jpg

They were going to be the club logo in 1976.
But then the clubs wanted the less cartoony versions Scanlen's had done for the footy cards.
So they compromised and went with the shields and the Scanlen's logos.
The top of the shield was Blue, regardless of team colour, showing the clubs were part of the VFL.
These ones were on merchandise probably for a few years on merchandise for kids.
Merchandise geared to adults had the official VFL logos on it.
I'd be very interested if someone has larger versions of these that I could trace and re-produce.

Thanks Mero I found my old pillow case with the Fitzroy lion on it. I remember when I was 6 we had heaps of St kilda scrapbooks even though we didn't go for them must have been cheap. That was 1980-81.

I don't have any pics other than the example I posted. It was up for a second or two and then gone. Not long enough to get a photo. :/
From memory, he was middle aged, slightly chubby and with a black goatee. I think

You sure it wasn't just blur, or the sunlight. The guy could have just been wearing the current home jumper.
