I think the AFL should introduce a new rule that every free kick should be paid against Richmond.
This would be a win-win-win all around.
* Casual or new fans would find the game much easier to understand - no need to work out why a free kick is being paid, just "Oh right, Richmond".
* Fans of the 17 other clubs would enjoy seeing Richmond getting crucified every week.
* Richmond fans already believe everyone and everything is out to get them, so they can be happy in the knowledge that the Vast CFL Conspiracy is finally out in the open.

Richmond fans can't distinguish anything besides we get less free kicks and give away more. Free kick count is border line irrelevant. A team that has 20-30 more tackles would arguably get more free kicks. The main issues with umpiring is them not paying high free kicks to say a jack ginivan for staging while allowing Selwood and friends to get away with it. It's allowing Clayton Oliver 10 throws a match and then go on to punish an opposing player for an illegal disposal that was an incorrect call. You can receive 10 rubbish free kicks with momentum at a halt that equalise the free kick count but the opposition got 4 dodgy calls resulting in direct goals when momentum was in the balance beforehand. These are the sort of things to be critical about. I've seen Richmond have 10-15 free kicks less than the opposition but have more goals as a result from a free kick and Richmond supporters reacted like look how good we are we even best the umpires lol Richmond supporters complain about umpires like some interstate clubs complain about Vic bias

A player is not to know whether an umpire will blow out-of-bounds - it's happened before.
Commentators know almost nothing, miss a lot and make incorrect calls all the time.
