Dear Mr. Chief,

A popular reddit mod, Reddit Enhancement Suite (Or RES as we like to call it), has the ability to to tag users. I find this helpful for reminding me about things that poster has said or done in the past. Would you consider adding something like this to the forum?

Examples for use would be something like the Clarko thread on the North board. Last week quite a few users raised their hand to declare themselves racists. I'd like a to tag them so I can remember that.

I quarantined BF from that thing that blocks certain advertisements.

Is it normal to have a half page google ad that "follows" you down the page, taking up half the page no matter how much you scroll and making the page almost unreadable?

Basically it's a Google spreadsheet, you take the ... share? Embed? link and paste it into a post.

Most basic way to do it is to copy and paste the URL into the forum, and it will automatically embed when you post it. Anyone with access to the google sheet (and with their cookies turned on) will be able to view it in the embed.

If you want to share it with everyone, use the share button in the top right corner of your spreadsheet to make it so 'anyone with the link can view'. (Again, they will need to have their cookies turned on).

If you only want to share certain tabs (or want it to work without turning on cookies), then you will need to go into the publishing settings (file>share>publish to the web), and use the advanced settings at the bottom to select the tabs you want to share. You then paste the code below into the forum and replace "URL goes here" with the URL from the address bar, not the dialogue box, as above.

Once you've shared the embed, people can reverse engineer the URL and view the spreadsheet directly in google sheets, including unpublished tabs, regardless of which method you use. They won't be able to edit anything unless you gave them permission, but something to be mindful of.

Also bear in mind that the permissions settings may take a few minutes to update throughout google's servers, so if the embed throws a permission error then wait a few minutes and refresh the tab.

Don't want to go on to BF and find out I'm unable to because of website down times due to updates/modifications/tweaks/software updates/web hosting shifts.

An addon was updated and this is an unexpected change. (No doubt it's buried in the guy's update notes...)

We will fix it.

Along with the silly Follow button, can no longer attach most types of media, including you tube.

These are the only options I see

Three issues have arisen with the latest batch of updates:

1. Big FOLLOW button.
2. Media Gallery issue needing to be fixed means MG is disabled right now.
3. The addon that extends our media codes is having the same issue as MG, so it is disabled right now.

We will work through these today and hopefully have everything back the way it was soon.

Two down. The follow button will be there for a day or more. Have to work out how to move or remove it.

I think I have done this in the past so it should just be some styling changes.

I am reposting some twitter urls for tweets to get embedded and its working fine. The system wont automatically re embed old tweet posts.
