Went with Selwood this week so pretty happy with his 144. Almost went Dal Santo with Ablett vice so dodged a bullet there. Funny that all my opponents had Dal but no cover and I had Martin covering for him :D

Jumped on board the swan train weeks ago even though I despise him as a player. As for Ablett, never discount a champ. Every player goes through form drops and this is his.

Yeh even though he is scoring like a machine, can't bring myself to bring this dog of a bloke into my side.

Hmmm... this week: jPod as captain against a hapless Brisbane down at his favourite venue Skilled?

Averages a lazy 132 down at the mighty cattery with scores of:

96, 119, 156, 144, 145

Who's got the balls?!

Will probley go Selwood this week, has been a gun the last few weeks against fair opponents. Others I would look at are Pods at SS, Gaj cause you never know against brissy at ss (remember last year)

And my smokey of the week is.... Rioli
Great form of late and with the saints usually struggling could be a master pick, but knowing my so called 'master picks' he will flop with a sub 50 score :p

Ablett is a champ and if Rioli (a few weeks ago) and Goodes (in the last week or two) have shown us anything it is this: "You never ever write off a pure champion". Ablett is a bloody champion and I am sticking with him. He has HUGE potential for a mammoth score; Particularly against Brisbane (or almost any other team) @ skilled and against the Swannies (dam it :p). He scores those mammoth scores more consistently than any other player and if a 70-odd is a shocker and 200 is a great (achievable) score then I'm happy still.

EDIT: Also; It's my first year playing SC and I have learnt not to chase points... This relates to both good or bad scores. Don't panic, Ablett is one of the greatest footy players we have ever seen (history will be very kind to him that's for sure)... He will bounce back with some very respectable scores.

I'm going Swan, but Ablett just wants to screw with me and will knock a 170+. Swan to get 67 :(

I'm surprised Chappy's name hasn't come up more in this thread. Other than Goddard, Hodge and Montagna, Chapman's the next best to Ablett/Swan for having a huge ceiling, and not much downside. Goddard, Hodge and Montag are in for a tough one this week, so surely Chappy against Brisbane at home is a good option? He's more reliable for a 100+ than Pods or Selwood i reckon.

If i had chappy or swan i'd go one of them. Since i don't, i'm gonna give Ablett another go, and hope Brisbane's terrible form will get Ablett back into some good form.

I got the balls :p, I have an easy game in my league this week and I like the look of those scores. He is about as good an option as any with that form, and I've been burnt using Goddard last week and Ablett before that. But it's easy to say that now, we'll have to wait and see if i'm a man of my word come friday.

I jumped off the Ablett train 4 weeks ago, not just due to his form but more the rise of Goddard, it has been of marginal benefit.

Goddard last 4 rounds:127, 134 ,DNP & 94

Ablett last 4 rounds:154, 106, 79 & 76

During the round Goddard missed I had Ablett as VC so adding up C points I got 868 for Goddard & 830 for Ablett. The gap would have been wider if Goddard had of played the Brisbane game but I am happy with my reasoning behind the decision even if the benefit was only marginal.

Not too sure what to make of it now. Seems Bomber played Gaz as a almost permanent forward against the Lions even with SJ back. 5 goals straight boosted his score. Looks like Selwood is almost a perma captain. Although with Sydney coming up it could wait a week or two lol.
