R.I.P Eddie Guerrero

A great wrestler - it was only yesterday I watched him throw a chair to Kennedy and fall down as if he'd been smashed over the head and win the match by DQ. :)

The guys who have the chops in the ring and on camera are rare - Eddie was one of these guys - he could put anyone over and I'm going to miss him.

Eddie helped put the E into WWE.

Always entertaining and enjoyable to watch, his motto of "LIE, CHEAT, STEAL" was brilliant and believable.

His recent role playing with Batista has been fantastic to watch.

A true legend of the industry.

Eddie MADE feuds work. As Rusty has already stated the man was excellent in every facet of the business. Amazing in ring skills, brilliant on the mic and his selling could put anyone over.

Whenever Eddie was on you made sure you didn't flick stations. Him playing a big role in a PPV always helped rationalise the cost. Along with Kurt Angle the best thing in the WWE. You will be sadly missed.

R.I.P Eddie

RIP Eddie...

Raw will be amazing i hope. Benoit Rey Chavo and Malenko are gonna put on the shows of their lives for their friend...

Wow, did not see that coming. In this world of make believe, plots and storylines, it is very hard to comprehend the reality of this, just as I can't comprehend Crash Holly, Kurt Hennig, Davey Boy Smith or Owen Hart won't have a comeback match some time down the track. We are forever reminded of the past every time a former superstar surprises us with an electric cameo. With Eddie, he was still primetime and in your face. That makes the magnitude of the hole he leaves behind in the business even greater.

Anybody could go at any time .... especially true in wrestling.

RIP

The cause was what is known as a 'major heart attack', im still in absolute shock, just watched a few of his matches, one thing that stands out is how he was always able to carry younger talent and turn them into superstars, just watch his match with Lesnar at No Mercy 2003 to see.

I hope WWE put him in the Hall of Fame this year he deserves it.

A feeling of numbness passed through my body today when I heard the news...

As a wrestling fan, we're used to sad news happening: Brian Pillman, Owen Hart, Curt Hennig...the list goes on...but this...this is just terrible news.

From the moment I first saw Eddie on WCW Nitro in 1995, I was a fan. Despite the mullet, Eddie was always cool. When I bought a new WWF Wrestling game on Nintendo or Playstation, Eddie was the first guy I created to add to my roster. When the Radicalz took advantage of Eric Bischoff's contract "get out clause" and transferred to WWF, I was ecstaic...Even when he injured his elbow in his first month of WWF, he was too valuable a man to leave off screen. Eddie was a Legend of wrestling.

I feel blessed to have been able to appreciate his talent for a decade. I fell honoured to have been able to see him wrestle in person. I feel sad that I will not be able to see him light up the screen anymore.

RIP Eddie...38 was too young to die.

Lie, cheat and steal upstairs for us.

First Candido, now Eddy. He was a man like no other, and I really thought he would be okay after all his problems. Sadly, his demons caught up with him and was unable to cheat death on this occasion.

I'll miss you Eddy, you'll be missed by everybody who considers themselves serious wrestling fans.

I seriously couldnt believe it when I read the news. Had to read it twice to make sure I read it correctly!

A truely sad day for the whole wrestling business. Eddie was a champion, and it was 4 years to the day since he gave up the grog and drugs! A true inspiration.

Just finished watching the Press Conference with Chavo and Vince, and both Raw and SmackDown will be Eddie Tribute Shows. Vince said there wont be much "wrestling" on the shows and they will predominantly be Eddie tribute shows!

As Vince said at the Press Conference...

"There is only one Eddie Guerrero"

R.I.P. Eddie!
