Great win, good atmosphere. Enjoyed seeing the girls sing the song on the ground too!
They sang twice, outside and then inside.

Was sad that the post match interviews and song didn’t have the microphones/sound system working properly, couldn’t hear them well :(

Great win and great night. Hope we get our kicking for goal sorted as we created a lot of opportunities. I think we may struggle to stop the better sides transitioning the ball quickly but we play a great physical game. Kudos to the Hawks as well. It was a tough game with some great tackling from both sides.

So the final attendance was 12,082 (or 12,092 depending where you look)

Apparently AFLW games with more than 10k attendance has only happened 17 times ever and the previous time was 2021 Round 4 (i.e. season before last)
surprised they've left it this long getting the Dons in.

We have Carlton at ETU next week, which only holds 10k. Might be half the problem! I’m sure we could beef up the rivalry after pinching their velcro (MP4+GG)
It can get 12/13 at a push

That was really enjoyable to watch. I must admit I've never been that into AFLW even though i've tried a few times to watch it and get into it but somehow its just so much better seeing an Essendon team out there on the park.

Its a ton more enjoyable than just being a neutral observer even though realistically its going to take me a while just to learn the players names.

Great effort to get a win first up with a team that's been assembled in such short order. They'll only get better as they keep playing more games together.

You could really see the absolute passion from Maddy Prespakis for the Bombers (especially if you heard the post match interview). She's definitely going to be a favourite and is clearly just a gun player to boot.
