I disagree with if being "impossible" to dislike. People can dislike something without being a try-hard.

No I don't because I didn't diss it - I simply said it isn't hard to dislike it. Saying it's impossible to dislike and slagging anyone off who does is more try-hard than anything. If you're going to slag off an established classic, you need to come to the party with something a bit more substantial. All but a handful of people who "hate" Star Wars either haven't seen it or went in with the intention of disliking it to be edgy and cool af.

You said it's impossible. That's the only reason I replied because I found that arrogant. It's easy for me to dislike it because I simply don't like it - I don't find it hard? How is saying that something isn't hard to dislike not slagging it off?
If I say Dylan8 isn't hard to dislike, I can't suddenly back off and say I gave no opinion on Dylan. It's an opinion.

Just don't find it interesting. What don't you like about it?
The most boring thing in the universe is people hating something widely renowned as classic and timeless because it's popular and therefore edgy to hate it. Just like when people claim to "hate" the Beatles or "hate" Harry Potter. It's boring. These people need to grow up.
I dont have an issue with people who just aren't into something like Star Wars, more people who "****ing hate" Star Wars, if that makes senseHonestly, stuff like this genuinely gives me the shits. The notion that if somebody dislikes something popular, they're only doing it to try and be edgy or cool, is just so ridiculous its not funny. I'm on the receiving end of this a lot, as in addition to Star Wars, I'm also not a fan of Harry Potter. People are just gobsmacked when I tell them that, but the simple fact is, it doesn't matter how good the cinematography is, or how good the script is, or the character development, or the plot, or whatever. If you don't like the basic genre or subject matter of the film, then there is a good chance you won't like the film.
We're not all Margaret Pomeranz here. Most of us watch movies for our own enjoyment, so we will naturally gravitate towards those that interest us, and - as shocking as it seems to be - some of these "classics" just aren't enjoyable to everybody. I'm not into sci-fi, or wizardry and witchcraft stuff, so thats why I don't enjoy Star Wars and Harry Potter. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and I won't have it when somebody tells me that there is.
Now having said that, there is a difference between those who don't enjoy popular things, and those who can't recognise that these popular things are significant for a reason. I don't like SW or HP, but I can appreciate why they are so popular for those who like that sort of thing. To use your other example above, I ******* love The Beatles. To me, their music is absolutely timeless and they are probably the most musically influential band of the 20th century, potentially ever. They changed music. Not everyone has to like The Beatles, because its not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but everybody should appreciate the impact that they have had on the music industry.
I dont have an issue with people who just aren't into something like Star Wars, more people who "******* hate" Star Wars, if that makes sense
